Immaculate and inviting are two words that come to mind when describing Ormsby Home and with (4) bedrooms, gorgeous kitchen and a stunning greatroom you may never want to leave.

The stay at this home was spectacular. It was the perfect location and close to everything. Checking in and out was extremely easy. I highly recommend staying at this house. It made our vacation perfect.

  • Recently remodeled with all modern facilities and appliances, this home is located just off Highway 267 on the National Forest and bike trails, and is a quick three minutes to the lake's beaches, golf courses, restaurants, and shopping. The house is also just six minutes away from Northstar California's downhill skiing and mountain biking options. Bring along your pets and watch them frolic around happily.

A great thing about this house is that it features two living rooms. The first living room is cozy, with one queen futon, a potted plant in one corner, and a TV in the other corner. Comfortable sofas in beige with a wooden center table and red rug complete the rest of the décor. The second living room, with a woodstove dominating it, features a TV, beige sofas, a wooden center table with knick-knacks, and a cane chair. The gourmet kitchen has granite counters and comes with all the latest appliances you will need to rustle up a great meal.

The sleeping areas are spread across two bedrooms and a loft area. The first bedroom has a queen bed with an en-suite full bathroom. With earthy tones and wood paneling like the rest of the cabin, this bedroom is neat and comfortable. The second bedroom too has a queen bed. The heavily carpeted loft area is coziness personified, with one king bed and one twin bed. There is a second full bathroom in the cabin as well—this one comes with a washer/dryer in it.

Step outside and you will find yourself on the wraparound deck that comes with seating for 12 under canopied tables. You can enjoy a summer BBQ out here—or maybe even soak up the sun during the sunny winters. Feel free to sit around the cheery fire you can crackle up in the fire-pit outside. Nestled in a forested setting complete with creek, this home also offers a gas grill and a serene, peaceful atmosphere.

Since the cabin is so close to Kings Beach and other North Lake Tahoe Beaches, the house owners have thoughtfully provided all of your beach necessities—beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, blankets, beach bags, and even sunscreen. You really couldn’t possibly ask for a better vacation rental if you're looking to spend some time outdoors, especially at the beach.

  • An original Tahoe chalet, a step back in time with all the modern amenities your expect in a vacation home. This charming knotty pine cabin features an open great room with a woodburning stove, new flat screen television, a very roomy, super comfortable couch and a new gas heater. This is a great spot to relax after a long day skiing or playing at the beach, depending on the season.

The front of the house starts with a roomy front deck, there is a small sitting porch off the side of the house also. You enter into the great room with original pine paneling throughout. There is an efficient kitchen, full bath, bedroom and laundry room.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bedroom with a headboard from the original Harvey's Casino. There is also a day bed if you have kids with you. The upstairs loft bedroom inclludes a queen bed, double bed and a twin.

Very happy. I posted another review with Property Mgmt Co. There were a few minor issues but overall a great little cabin in a quiet neighborhood

  • Immaculately appointed and furnished this deluxe Lake Village Condo is perfect for families looking for convenience in location and many sought after amenities. This Lake Village resort 4 bedroom town home is set up as a relaxing Tahoe getaway. This town home is on three levels.

The location and the size of the condo was great. This house has great potential but just needs a few upgrades. The parking was difficult during the weekend. The master bathroom tub and shower was not functional. The family room furniture needs to be upgraded as its falling apart.

Done in simple blue and beige tones, the first bedroom is the one located on the lower floor of the house. With two twin beds, this bedroom features attractive bed linens, simple wall paintings, and a half bath. As you move upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms here. • The "Panhandle House" is located in Montgomery Estates, at 2,200 square feet, this spacious home can accommodate up to 10 people and has beautiful views of the forest surrounding it. The house is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac with only one other house, which is across the street. It has a large, fenced-in backyard, which makes it perfect for those who are bringing kids with them to Tahoe. Instead of monitoring them all day, put them out in the backyard and let them play freely for a while!

Inside the home you will find a large living room with a 52-inch TV, a beautiful gas fireplace, plush, comfortable couches, and plenty of space to relax. The floor is carpeted in a cozy beige and next to the living room is a dining area and the kitchen. The dining table can seat 8 people and there is an additional island/bar next to the kitchen that can seat a few more if you need the extra space. The kitchen itself is done in white and it's very spacious and has plenty of modern amenities like a dishwasher, a microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster, cutlery, and much more. It has everything you will need to make the perfect home-cooked meals while you're staying in Tahoe. The home also has laundry facilities, level access, and Internet access.

The bedrooms in this home are all quiet big and they all feature nice, cozy carpeting as well as TVs. The master bedroom even features a small desk if you need to get some work done while you're on vacation. Additionally, the master bedroom has its own private balcony that is perfect for couples who want a bit of privacy while they're on vacation. The home also features a Jacuzzi tub, which is perfect for sore bodies after long days of skiing on the slopes.

There's some great outdoor space surrounding this home, too. The front yard has a very nice, mowed lawn that is great for kids' playtime, sporting activities, and more. The back of the home has a big beck that leads off the living room and features a private hot tub, a gas barbecue, and gorgeous views of the forest behind the house. This back deck also features lounge chairs and patio furniture, so it's a great place to catch some sun, relax with a stiff drink or a good book, socialize, or play some board games on a balmy summer night. Furthermore, the backyard is fully fenced in and features some huge, stunning trees as well as some garden decorations. It's a perfectly peaceful spot and you won't soon forget it.

    Square Footage: 2,200 Square Feet.

Great location off the beaten path. Peaceful, private home with plenty of space. Right in the middle of everything, beach, golf, casino, stores. Booked it for my annual guys weekend getaway during the Celebrity Golf Tournament. Not as updated and luxurious as what I usually book with Buckingham but the value for the price was great. Would highly recommend this property for a relaxing Tahoe vacation!

  • "The Stanford" is a Tahoe property that has been kept in immaculate condition and will satisfy all of your Lake Tahoe vacation rental needs. Great one level floor plan features a large kitchen and dining area, roomy living with wood burning fireplace and three good size bedrooms. With two full bathrooms, laundry room, huge back patio complete with picnic table  and BBQ this high speed internet equipped home is a great choice!

Situated in one of Lake Tahoe's favorite areas, Al Tahoe, 'The Stanford" is a five minute walk to Regan Beach, near Lakeview Commons and minutes to World Class Gaming and 5 minutes to Heavenly Mountain Resort. The perfect base camp for all of your Lake Tahoe activities.

We rented the house for 6 people during a Ski trip. The property has plenty of beds and plenty of linen and other house comforts. The garage also had all the tools we needed during the stay including a weber grill and charcoal.

    South Lake Tahoe 18.09 miles
  • The Meadowscape home is located one block from the meadow and 8 blocks to Lake Tahoe. A perfect location for strolls to the lake, visiting the concerts at Lakeview Commons, stand up paddle races or just relaxing and enjoying Lake Tahoe. In the winter it is a short drive to Heavenly for fantastic skiing.  Easy one story living featuring an open living space encompassing the dining area, living room and kitchen. The kitchen has ample counter spaces for feeding the group.

The living room is enhanced by a wood burning stove for cold winter nights, pine paneling accents and comfortable furniture.  The first bedroom has a private bath with shower stall. The second and third bedroom share the hall bath with tub/shower combo. At the end of the hall is a large family room with a pool table, flat screen TV, futon, laundry closet and access to the fenced backyard. There is a deck, hot tub, picnic table and charcoal BBQ.

When we arrived, there was trash all over the driveway. A trash barrel had been overturned and the trash was everywhere. We had to clean up the trash and the driveway. We had planned to barbecue on our first night, but the BBQ grill was not clean and was missing the cooking grate. Also, there was no rubber mat in the bathtub for the shower in the pink bathroom; and the drip pans under the electric stove elements didn't fit so the stovetop couldn't be used. We called in to report these problems, but the handyman wasn't able to come until the next day. He brought a new bbq grill grate and a mat for the tub, but couldn't fix the drip pans for the stove, so we couldn't use the stove the entire weekend. Of greatest concern: none of the smoke alarms worked. There are 7 rooms in this rental and only three smoke alarms and none was in operating condition! One was missing; one didn't have a battery; and the last one's battery was dead. I think that's illegal in California. Other issues: the cabinet doors in the kitchen would not close and would swing open and stay open. The lamps and window blinds had not been dusted. The tub in the "pink" bathroom did not drain quickly so you stood in about 4 inches of water while showering. The shower in the master bedroom is tiny -- basically 2.5 x 2.5 feet. When we went to plug in the TV in the living room, we found a dead mouse in a trap -- and there was no dvd player in the living room, so couldn't watch movies. The light over the pool table was not tight to the ceiling and had wires hanging out. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with this rental. Total cost per night was $450 and was not at all worth it. The location is good and the pool table is a plus, but for $450 per night it was not a good value and I would never recommend it. /Users/dmtaggart/Desktop/IMG_7782.jpg /Users/dmtaggart/Desktop/IMG_7785.JPG /Users/dmtaggart/Desktop/IMG_7905.JPG /Users/dmtaggart/Desktop/IMG_7866.jpg

    South Lake Tahoe 18.12 miles
  • A cabin with the best Tahoe has to offer. Convenient in town location but with a feeling of peace and quiet rarely found this close to all that Tahoe has to offer. Located just minutes from skiing at Heavenly, boating and playing on Lake Tahoe, dining at one of the many restaurants on Ski Run Blvd. The Tahoe Pines cabin backs to acres of open space and is adjacent to the bike trails. This is a perfect location for exploring the meadow, walking to Bijou Park ( disc golf, kids play area, BMX bike track and more) and enjoy the beautiful fresh mountain air.

This three bedroom cabin features a sunny living room with gas fireplace, kitchen, dining area, full bath and one bedroom downstairs. Upstairs are two more roomy bedrooms with vaulted ceilings.

On the back deck facing the meadows there is a new hot tub, this is the perfect spot to relax after a day of skiing, hiking or playing in Lake Tahoe.

The owners describe it best: It’s an oasis of serenity for us. In winter, the kids enjoy playing in the snow, especially with the big hill in the backyard by the trail. During the summer, they enjoy the woods and playing outside.

    Pros:
    1) 3 adequately sized bedrooms
    2) Proximity to heavenly, emerald bay, town, casinos and beaches
    3) The hot tub
    4) Cleanliness that rental agency maintains

    Cons:
    1) Only one small bathroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs
    2) The stairs to bedroom are steep and narrow. Not at all recommended for anyone having balance issues or slightest difficulty climbing
    3) Bad layout of the house. All the rooms are separate, so if you are a group (5+) only area of congregation is kitchen and dining room. Because of the layout you tend to bump into people. Living room holds only 5 people.
    4) No hot tub use allowed after 10 PM. So if you are with family and waiting for kids to sleep before you sink into the tub, good luck.

Overall, I would not recommend this property for the inconvenience it causes from the layout. Make no doubt, its a nice and clean property, but would prefer something that is more suitable for a group setting.

  • This stunning 3 bedroom Heavenly/Bavarian "stay and play" Condo is situated perfectly in the Heart of The Bavarian Village Resort and based minutes from World Class Heavenly Mountain Resort, World Famous Stateline Nevada and of course all that Lake Tahoe has to offer in the way of Beaches, Hiking, food, gaming and all sorts of indoor/outdoor adventure. This wonderfully appointed ground floor unit (no stairs) condo has been requested over and over again by past guests and is always in demand and for good reason, it has everything the Lake Tahoe traveler will need for their daily outdoor excursions whether it be skiing, riding, mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking or just re-charging the batteries and upon returning from your adventures this perfect Bavarian retreat will work absolute wonders for your Lake Tahoe vacation. Parking at unit-no stairs.

The property is on the ground floor, conveniently located less than a mile away from Heavenly and Safeway. The kitchen is well-stocked, but there was only a small amount of diluted dish soap and nothing to wash dishes with (sponges, brush, etc.). The kitchen has the only working, well-adjustable faucet: the faucets in the bathrooms are very old, outdated and need to be replaced. There are two settings for water temperature: either icy cold or scalding hot. This can be very dangerous; especially, for small children. The master bathroom was dirty - hair on the floor and walls and both bathrooms need to be completely remodeled (wall tile is cracked and moldy). Each room has an HD flat screen TV, but the TVs are not secured in any way, just sitting on a unsafe piece of furniture, which is again a big danger to small children if it were to tip over, not to mention the hanging cables behind the TV (uncovered and unorganized under a layer of dust). I would recommend this property to a family with older kids (no toddlers or small kids) and would not rent again unless the changes were made. Overall, it met our needs.

  • This classic Tahoe cabin is right on the beach and an easy drive to any of the North Shore’s fantastic ski resorts! Home has dynamic views of Lake Tahoe from the living room, dining room and back deck.  There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and all told the house sleeps up to 11 guests.  There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, disposal, gas range and built-in microwave. There’s also a separate dining area, gas fireplace, cable TV and wireless internet and a gas grill on the large lake-facing deck.

Home is also equipped with a small stacked washer/dryer but, due to the machine’s age and size we recommend laundering outside of the home at one or our local laundry mats.

    Square Footage: 1250 Square Feet.

  • Entering the condo, you will first come to the living room, which is very beautifully done in dark, earthy colors for the upholstery and light, airy shades for the walls. The rug underneath the large wooden center table is also in a dark shade, balancing the light aura of the room. There is a large flat-screen TV in front of the plush sofa, making this a convenient place for you to sit, relax, and enjoy your favorite shows. But the most interesting part of the room is the wood-burning rock fireplace in the corner. There is one pull-out sleeper sofa and one twin roll-away bed in the living room. The dining table, which is done in dark wood, seats 6. The chandelier fan adds elegance to the area. The gourmet kitchen with modern appliances is done in varnished wood. There is a ½ bath in this lower portion of the house. This bathroom has off-white fittings with wood work for the doors and racks.

Move on to the upper area of the home and you have two beautiful bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed with one twin bed. The golden-iron queen bed has a regal touch, while the twin bed is done up in fun prints, making it ideal for a youngster to sleep in. There is a TV in the top right corner facing the queen bed. The pristine white curtains and the cheery paintings on the walls make this room refreshingly sophisticated. There is an en-suite bathroom complete with a shower and tub. The second bedroom has a four-post queen bed in dark wood. This bedroom is the yin to the yang of the first bedroom. The décor of this room is on the darker side with an artistic lamp on the left and a beautiful table lamp in black and red on the right. There is an en-suite bathroom off this room too. Very similar to the other bathroom, this one too is done in wood for the doors and cabinets, and white for the fittings.

Bed Configuration: Bedroom 1: Queen & Twin | Bedroom 2: Queen | Living Room: Sleeper Sofa Pullout.

  • This beautiful two-level home has an open floor plan and features high, vaulted wooden ceilings and a wood-paneled exterior. If you are looking for a spacious and affordable home with great amenities, while being close to the town and its entertainment options, this is the place for you.

The entire home features thick carpeting, whitewashed walls hung with interesting framed prints, and windows all around that let in the natural light. The central heating ensures that you stay toasty warm in the winters — no matter which area of the home you are in. The open living-dining-kitchen area, with large windows and vaulted ceilings, greatly enhances the sense of spaciousness. The living area has multiple couches facing a large, wood-burning stone fireplace, and a TV with satellite connection. The dining area has a table with seating capacity for six, placed in front of the windows. Right next to the dining area is the kitchen, which has been newly refurbished with wooden flooring and cabinetry, along with the existing granite countertops and modern appliances, which makes entertaining guests a breeze.

There are three bedrooms in this home, all featuring cozy carpeting, wooden furniture, comfortable beds, and big windows that let in lots of sunlight. The master bedroom is on the upper level and comes with a walk-in closet and an attached full bath. The queen bed has cheery red linens, while the sleeper sofa has quite an eclectic print. The other two bedrooms are on the lower level and share another full bath. Both these bedrooms feature a double bed and a twin bunk bed. There is also another half bath in the upper level and an additional sleeper sofa near the laundry area.

Step outside and you'll find yourself in the lovely woods. There is parking available for your RV or boat, along with parking for your car in the two-car garage. Additional facilities that are provided with this home are a charcoal grill, washing machine and clothes dryer, icemaker, and WiFi Internet.

Enjoy your Carnelian Bay vacation rental.

This is an older house that has not been well maintained. The exterior of the house looks like it has not been stained or painted in 20 years. The interior is somewhat "dumpy" and should have been rented at half the price we paid on a holiday weekend. The living room sofa is very uncomfortable and has an old tube TV. No one in my group wanted to spend any time in this section of the house because of this poor setup. So, not a good house for socializing in a comfortable manner. The bathroom in the master bedroom has sections of the wall that were falling apart. This was really "low budget" and was unacceptable given the price we paid per night. The mattresses on the bunk beds had a plastic outer layer and were not comfortable. The teenagers in my group hated them and I had to keep apologizing for renting a house with so many poor amenities. Obviously, I would not recommend this house unless you want a real low budget place. But make sure you get a low budget price (like $175 per night) to match the low budget experience.
