Quiet, spacious home. Great patio with gas grill. Well stocked kitchen. Negatives: cheap hand soap, and toiletries. The lock to retrieve the key is old and we were given the wrong unlock code. Vacayhero and The Pinnacle rental company miscommunicated on our check in time and payment. Vavayhero's concierge was wonderful and helped make this family getaway memorable.
Wonderful vacation rental. The interior was cozy and clean with beautiful views.

This place is awesome, we did not want to go! A small drive to town, but in a nice and peaceful neighborhood. There were a few small issues, burnt out bulbs, no fans ( on our particular stay it was warm in Tahoe, 89 degrees ) it would have been nice to have, at least, a box fan. Also, the rules were pretty extensive on our clean-up procedures, and we felt like we were already paying ALOT for a clean-up fee to have to do so much ourselves. I would definitely want to stay here again.

The property managers had great communication through email, we got into the house without skipping a beat and it was more than enough to accommodate all of us.
My only feedback is that the beds could be better.

The pictures of this rental are very misleading, smaller in person. The bear box for the trash was jam packed so we had to take trash bags into town daily. The cleaners left a note on the spa that it was freshly cleaned but had a layer of dirt and slime on the wall and clearly had not been cleaned for weeks. We did not use the spa. Other than those blemishes we had a good time.

Great, quiet location! Excellent for south-end activities; golf outings, nature, Myers eats, and the convenience of being close to the grade and avoiding So. Lake Tahoe traffic.

Extremely unhappy with the surprise extra costs that made this cabin that was advertised at $149 a night on travelocity end up costing us over $600 a night in fees. The hot tub also never got hot. And there were very negative and scolding signs all over the cabin treating the guest like a naughty child who needs to be constantly reminded not to touch this or that. Other than that, it would have been a nice vacation in a decent cabin if we weren't so annoyed and angry at the huge difference in cost between what we were thinking we were going to be paying and what we ended up paying. Also, for that much money we could have stay ed at a 5 star hotel with a hot tub that actually got hot and treated us like royalty. I would not stay at this cabin again, no sir no way.
The cabin ended up not being available for all of the nights that we wanted, so we had to stay at Harvey's South Lake for one of the nights, where we got upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi tub and a lake view for free, and it ended up being the highlight of our trip. We even had an adjoining room with our friends. Next time we'll just skip the overpriced and scammy cabin with the false advertising, and we'll stay at the hotel in Lake Tahoe instead. It was closer to everything and more fun anyway.

My experience at 2086 Mewuk was far from positive. If you are considering booking this vacation rental I would recommend looking up Pinnacle Lake Tahoe Getaways (the property management company) on Yelp first. After sifting through prospective rentals, my fiance and I settled on this one for our wedding night/elopement weekend. After paying in full the confirmation message stated, "Your next email will include your check in instructions and directions to the home." Two days before our arrival I emailed the property management company asking when I should expect to receive the instructions. No answer. I called twice the next day and was told someone would call me back later. They didn't. At about 8pm the night before our arrival we finally received the directions. Once we arrived we noticed many of the light fixtures didn't work and that there was trash on the deck. We could overlook that and decided to go outside to take in the view. There was NO LOCK on the back sliding door, it was broken off. Well, that was unsettling. We went upstairs to look at the remaining rooms. Entering the bathroom, I stood on the bathmat my shoes sank about 1.5" and filled with water. The sink had an obvious leak and judging from the mold along the bottom of the vanity, this repair had been put off for quite some time. I called Pinnacle Lake Tahoe Getaways and spoke with Manager Jerry. He sounded apologetic and said he would be in touch with a solution and would ask the owner about a partial refund. We never heard back from Jerry. With all the stress surrounding a wedding we just didn't have the energy to follow up. We ended up sleeping in the full bed downstairs so that we could be next to the working bathroom. Two weeks after checkout I noticed we had yet to be reimbursed for the security deposit. I called the management office again to which they replied, "oops it should have gone through." They made the correction. This is by far the worst property I have reserved through HOMEAWAY.

Ten years ago, four girls started working in Walt Disney World on the College Program. Ten years later they are still friends and meet up in Lake Tahoe with their significant others to enjoy some downtime with eachother. The trip was a huge success!!

it was ok, seemed a bit run down. Sofa worn out and smelly. Dinner table chairs very hard to sit in, bad design. Microwave in disrepair. Towel rack broken. Towels really rough and old. No hot tub maintenance.
Nice cabin, great location.

This property is easy to get to from hwy 50, is beautifully designed and immaculate with a beautiful view from the back deck. It is very roomy and well stocked with necessities. The neighborhood is quiet and the drive to town is only about 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this property-it would be perfect for a large family as there is so much sleeping space. The property is very well maintained, and the manager provided excellent customer service.

Location, amenities, cleanness were good.
We couldn't find the 3rd bath. One in the first floor, and the other in 2nd floor, and that's all.
It would be perfect if it had better TV in living room.

Our ski lease has been in the Mewuk Mountain lodge for 3 years now. I really love the house.

Everything as expected for a good price. Hot tub was nice, gass grill functional, kitchen reasonably equipped. Deck has pretty view. Did not use the fireplace.
We loved the cabin itself and thought it was in a great location but we were disappointed in the overall housekeeping. It was obvious that the downstairs bathroom had not been cleaned due to the very large clump of hair left In the drain! We spent a lot of money for the weekend get away and had hoped for better cleanliness.
We enjoy the place very much. It’s very comfortable and it’s big enough to accommodate up to 10 and pet friendly. We all had fun staying there’s d wish we had more time to stay longer. The hot tub is a plus if you go hiking all day and it’s a great way to relax and decompress. Overall it has everything we needed. The only thing weird is that there are too many light switch in the kitchen and the medicine cabinet upstairs has a weird light fixture that is blocking the cabinet, otherwise everything is great!
Was a very nice cab we enjoy the location and was really good equiped
My family of 6 stayed for 4 days and enjoyed the cabin very much. The kids loved it! There were plenty of towels, dishes, silverware and everything a larger family needs which was really nice, allowed me to enjoy more time with family and less time doing multiple loads of dishes daily.
The cabin is smaller than the pictures appear but we all still had plenty of space.
The cabin was fairly clean did have a couple of dishes that were put away and dirty. There were some cobwebs that were in the corners of the bedroom downstairs and in the large windows but other than that it was nice.
The hot tub was an added bonus that we used almost every evening.
Our family of 7 fit comfortably but had their been 11 people (posting says it sleeps 11) we would have been packed pretty tight and it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable. The pictures also make the space inside look far bigger than it looks in real life so we were a little surprised when we arrived at how small the common space is. None of the windows had any curtains or drape so the sun was pretty glaring mid day and we had nothing to make the lighting more suitable. We felt uncomfortable at times at the lack of privacy during the evening as it’s pretty easy to see inside homes from the outside when it’s dark. We also noticed what seemed to be dog hair on the furniture and all over the carpet which exacerbated my mother and brother in laws allergies, a more thorough cleaning before our arrival hopefully would’ve helped out. Overall the home was comfortable and cozy and easy to get to. Thanks again!
Our family had a wonderful weekend there. Thank you for providing us this sweet home to gather together. Event though the hot pot didn't work, your quick response was still touching. I believe that next time we will be there again!! Thank you so much!
Nice place, comfortable and clean. Good hot tube.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
