Stayed 2 nights. Very nice clean and warm little cabin. Close to shops and the lake. We enjoyed skiing at heavenly. Had to dig our way to house in snow since we arrived in the middle of the night. Subsequent days the neighborhood snowplow did the driveway for us. We were given a late checkout. Would stay again.

I would like to congrats the owners for the amazing house. My only problem it was a kitchens lamp that was burned.
Incredible house!!! It's a dream house for vacation.
Awesome and cozy place. Conveniently located next to Highway 50, few blocks from 7-11, many restaurants, Raley's, Starbucks, less than 6 miles from Heavenly Ski Resort, etc... Kids had fun sledding in the backyard thanks to a small slope and plenty of room. We did venture out to the near by sledding places but kids were able to sled in the backyard while we were cooking breakfast and dinner with minimal supervision. Here are the two reasons why I gave 3 Stars instead of 5 Stars. Reason # One... Every single closet has clothes in it as someone live there. If this is a rental property, all items that were left by the previous renters should be thrown away or kept at the office for safe keeping. Not in the closet for the next renter to see. We weren't able to use the closets and had to leave our items on the floor or in the living room. On the same note, please clean the items under the stairwell as well. Reason # Two... Front door should have some sort of privacy cover or blind. It was exposed to the lurking eyes from the outside and someone could see what is inside, who is inside, what is being left inside. I understand that this could be the safest neighborhood in the world, but I don't know who is staying next to the house or who is prowling for vacationers. This should be fix asap as in my personal opinion, safety issue. Aside from these two issues, great place to stay in if you have kids.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
