The cabin was cute. Older and in the mountains so things to be expected with that, spiders, spiderwebs, and dated. There were stains on the carpet and the comforters. The set up of the cabin was nice and I was surprised there was another toilet I thought there was only one. Overall it worked for me my family and my couple friend. The price was good.

Very satisfied. Maybe it would be better with a clean garden for the children.

Honestly this was my first time in LT and I had a blast wish I was able to stay longer.
The amenities were great and as described. We probably were there the coldest weekend in Tahoe, both mornings the temperature read -14 and -11, as such it seemed the heater was not working properly but compared to the outside it was warm. Taking space heaters if you go in the winter would not be a bad idea though. It was close to town and the casinos. We rode up on a weekend that required chains (we don't know how to put them on so we left them on during our stay) so it took a while to get into town - otherwise it is within close proximity of the town, resorts and casinos. Very unique set up and cute little place. We did encounter a critter during our stay but the maintenance people were quick to remove it, additionally they were also quick in checking on a faucet that would not turn completely off.
This house as photos show is lovely but it has it's drawbacks. The kitchen is super tiny and badly designed. So if you're foodies hoping for days on the slopes with a fire and a big meal 'at home' after, it's not ideal. There is no space to put groceries (we kept them in bags on the floor) and it is poorly stocked with necessities to cook with. Not more than 1 person can be in there at a time so when sharing this house it makes for extremely tight meal preparation. The toilet upstairs wouldn't flush without the necessity of sticking your hand into a cold tank to fix the plug. The house is right on top of the neighbors house, in fact there isn't much privacy at all, as all of these houses are packed in quite tight. The rooms were comfortable but I think this house's price is based solely off it's beautiful design, which is absolutely beautiful to look at from the outside but doesn't have many benefits on the inside. the fireplace is a lovely addition. it's has proximity to only 1 mountain as the others are quite a ways away. bring games.

The home is situated in the woods with many other rental cabins a good 10 minutes depending on traffic from the Lake and casinos in town. The Good things about it would be the scenery of its surroundings, and the quiet atmosphere. We also enjoyed the deck, but it needed new furniture. Now for what needs improvement - The kitchen is very cramped with old appliances. The downstairs bedroom has no space to store clothing, the dresser was full of linens, and the closet was for utilities. There were numerous spiders roaming the house. There were no additional pillows in the house, only the ones put on the beds. The living room furniture is old as well and needs to be replaced. The doors had no deadbolt locks, just the lock on the door knob, not very reassuring even if the cabin is secluded. It was nice to have a television, however a newer one with a larger screen would be even better. Overall the cabin was fortunately very clean, but definitely in need of renovation. We ended up spending only 2 nights there rather than 5 and going into town to a hotel for the remaining nights. If the owner would work on renovating the cabin with the much needed amenities, it would easily go for twice the amount per night if not more. So if you're looking for a vacation home with more modern amenities, look elsewhere, this is not for you.
Very cozy place. Cabin not too insulated, and we had to hang out by the fireplace most of the time. The downstairs bathroom was frozen. The kitchen had limited but necessary utensils. The location was great in terms to getting somewhere to play in the snow.

Myself and two of my girlfriends stayed for the weekend, it's a great little place. We were about 6 miles from South Lake Tahoe activities (like boat rentals, casinos, restaurants) and close enough to drive to destinations like Reno, Virginia City, hot springs, etc. The cabin was a great size for us and had a great deck. It was a little more "retro" than I expected based on the pictures posted, but it has character.
My family and I visit Lake Tahoe once or twice a year to get away from the busy and stressfull suburban lifestyle. We enjoy the natural and peaceful wonders of Lake Tahoe, staying at a different rental cabin everytime. By far, this was the worst cabin we ever rented. I pretty much agree with everyone's negative review about this place and addition; the neighbor's pickup truck was parked in the 2 car tandem carport, inconveniently blocking our way to the front door entrance making it hard to load and unload our bags and supplies. We complained to a representative at Pinnacle Lake Tahoe Getaways by the name of Dana who was very kind to talk to but was not helpful in fixing the situation. We'll never stay here ever again and will not recommend this rental.
The A-frame is located in a nice residential setting in south lake and a perfect base for our biking based vacation. It was cold when we arrived so warming up the house took a bit of effort, but with a request the management brought us firewood to supplement which was nice. I definitely think wood should be on site and included especially in fall and winter for guests.
The bed upstairs in the master was comfortable, the decor is all period and/or original, and you feel like you're back in the 70s staying at Grandma's -which is fun. The carpet could use an upgrade as well as the bedspreads, stains make it feel a bit dirty. Simple upgrades could go a long way for the overall feel here.
There was only two of us, but plenty of space for a family or small group.
2) Kitchen w/ full utensils and starting supplies
3) Washer/dryer with supplies came in handy.
4) Cool looking parking garage and house
5) Easy check-in and check-out (per provided instructions)
6) Prompt refund of deposit after stay.
1) There isn't enough ventilation.
2) Note left to not open some of the blinds in living area (would not look as open like provided photos).
3) No fans. Had to call management to get some. We needed 3 but they provided only 2 (I think the positive is that they provided fans within an hour)
4) Oven was dirty from inside. (Glad we did not need to use it)
5) Lower floor bathroom would not latch from inside (stays open) and upper floor bathroom would not lock from inside.
Overall it is an okay place to stay. I would say at par for the price (definitely not a bargain).
Excellent; a nice A-frame property, quiet, with everything we needed for our stay. The deck area was really nice and was convenient for eating meals outdoors, and the barbeque was great. Everything was as described, and all kitchen equipment, towels etc we needed were there. The only minor negative point was that the lock device storing the house key seemed worn and was difficult to work.
Nice little A-frame in a quiet neighborhood.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
