We went for two nights and this place was what we needed: clean, working heater, pristine location, spaceous, ideal for 6 people. Plus the outdoor area is beautiful, including a hot tub that’s right next to it!!

I lived in a cabin 1/2 block from Bavarian Village for 9 years in the '80s and knew it to be a safe area. Still is safe & quite, yet centrally located. It's great. Bed was very comfortable. Furniture isn't new but in good shape. Only thing new in this unit are 2 fancy TVs; and cheap draperies that are far too small on all windows so I used my beach towels to cover them up. Not good. Carpet, light fixtures and bath sink fixtures are all 45+ years old. Not good. Other units in the Village surely have been better maintained/updated. Still a great place to stay. Off The Hook has a super Happy Hour for super sushi; Edgewood Bistro is excellent but really expensive; Scusa's Italian also really good but when you order an entree, that's all you get. Want soup, salad, maybe a dinner roll? You have to pay for each separately. I rarely eat there just because of that - I call it Squeeza because they squeeze every last $ from customers. Can't beat Bavarian Village! Property Management is Excellent.

We stayed on a large family trip with 8 people, and wanted a kitchen and bedding for everyone. This place was perfect for our needs. NBA playoffs were going on, so large living room was great to watch the games and also play cards/boardgames. Kitchen is well equipped. Heating worked fine. Only minor complaint was the carpets are fairly dirty, they could really use a shampoo clean. But overall would recommend.

The queen and king beds are comfortable. Like most twins, they need refreshing. The electric stove and kitchen worked fine for our needs. The internet was an issue at first, but improved. The place is fairly drafty and the fire place may have been part of the issue. The place constantly smelled smoky (campfire) and the heating was hard to regulate. We called early and had the dining table chairs fixed. The place was mostly clean upon arrival, just a few things we needed follow up on. Hot tub location is right outside the door and so is the paid laundry. Do not expect laundry in unit or free laundry. Good for the budget renter, we'll probably go for a house next year.

We had a great stay. The condo is close to everything and equipped with all
You need. The property management company was very accommodating and helpful. Promptly returned my deposit as well. We plan on booking a week next year.

I stayed at Barnum Bavarian Village 1141B in July of 2017 for a family trip with my husband and 2 year old daughter. We chose the unit because it looked clean and neat, had a pool, was in close proximity to everything, and looked safe for my daughter. The community itself is nice and the people are friendly. The unit was spacious and had a nice layout. The only downside was that it was VERY dirty and dated. Upon arrival we emailed the property manager about the cleanliness and she had a cleaning crew out first thing in the morning. It helped a little big, but ultimately the unit needs a VERY, VERY deep cleaning floor to ceiling and new carpet. The unit has a ton of potential and even thought it is dated, it could easily be in much better condition. I honestly wouldn't recommend this unit until it is cleaned up correctly. I would however definitely recommend the community and the property management company.

We found an empty condom wrapper in one of the beds. There was frequently no hot water to shower with. Also, I called the property management to inquire about the grill and no one called me back. Wasn't the greatest stay I've had in Lake Tahow
The pictures on the website were very deceptive. Much fraying (could be a trip hazard) on the carpet on the front porch on the step up. Porch really dirty and many cobwebs around porch light. Light switch just inside front door does not turn on any inside light. Only one table lamp in living room that was not sufficient to read. Musty/stale odor when entering unit. Couch completely broken down. Black mold in grout in both bathrooms. Master bathroom countertop has cigarette burn and edge is held in place with frayed clear packaging tape. Master bedroom closet door on one side is off hinge and light switch in master does not turn on anything. Faucet in hall bedroom sprays everywhere. Dresser drawer falling off dresser in twin bedroom. Overall, on surface, unit was clean; but in corners not at all. Only positive to inside of unit was huge TV. The unit desperately needs updating.
We enjoyed out visit very much!!! The only complaint we have is the couch was very uncomfortable, the showers need updated as well.
Got to rental. There was no
Information to connect on how to, or which web to connect to all had been removed by prior guests. Very poor phone signal, and no text either due to web. Literally coffee left by prior tenant was a tablespoon. We left a small FULL container. Not enough towels for all guests, 2 bed rooms all devices were unplugged requiring us to move furnature to get light in those really rooms.
TV in front room required about 1 hour to get to work. No remotes for
TV in master bed room.
After calling to notify of issues, had a very rapid response and not all matters were addressed during stay.
Pool and hot tub very nice but limited use. Parking was good.
Great location - one block off Hwy 50 near Ski Run Blvd. Needed to call management twice when we got there - due to my own ineptitude - and both times someone came to our unit within 5 minutes, and fixed the problem.
The house was very close to Heavenly. Safeway and other departmental stores were close by.
House was well maintained. The shower in the bathroom was too low. Air conditioning was too noise. Over all its a great house with all amenities. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Over all we had a great experience. Thanks to the owner for letting us lease your condo.
Older apartment that needs some love and attention. The couch and chairs all had rips in them and mattress was uneven. Kitchen could be better stocked but everything worked ok. Pool was nice and location was great but place felt unloved and needed a make over.
Shower head was so low you could barely use it and had to duck way down
Location was good for our visit to the area. The management team was excellent on answering our questions and addressing problems. Recliner was broken and sectional is a joke. No way to get comfortable. These need to be replaced. Be careful with dining room chairs. Supports for backs are missing on most chairs. Don't lean back! With a good Deep Cleaning and decent seating in living room, this could be a very nice place to visit. Needs to be updated bad.
The condo was great for a family since it was very simple with no fancy furnishings, and the pool and hot tub area was wonderful and clean.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
