I didn't realize the difficulty that the stairs up and down to the cabin would be. It was a chore to carry things up and down them safely. All and all nice and peaceful though.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to others. The location was as promised and the accommodations were just what we needed for 6 people.

This cabin was so nice. It was perfect for my family of 8. We will definitely rent from here again. We loved the location. The back yard was awesome for our Shiba Inu. So beautiful!

Had a wonderful relaxing time with plenty of room. Well equipped kitchen. Those windows looking out onto the deck and the deck itself were fantastic. The stairs from the garage to the deck were a bit daunting, and the furniture is a bit shabby (not chic) and the cabin needing airing and cobwebs knocked down when we got there, but overall clean and friendly.

The property seems to he very old. I had problem whaile taking shower because your hot water doesnot work. I t works for a while and then cold water kicks in. There were lots of bugs and spider around the house. I dont think I would again reccomend people staying the that property.

Great! Loved the house and especially the backyard decks and yard. No close neighbors, also!

This is a beautiful cabin in a perfect location, the neighbors aren’t very close and there is a golf course behind the cabin so it leaves you plenty of room to play in the snow and sled without having to drive somewhere. I just wish that they had actually cleaned the place. Throughout the weekend we kept running into things that should have been done prior to us checking in, it was very dirty and guests should not have to deal with that. Here is a list of things that we ran into : Cheetos under the couch
Empty beer boxes in closet
Cup full of gold fish with no lid in cabinet
Dirty socks on floor
FULL of cobwebs
Bugs in the above kitchen light (around 100)
Dishes were filthy
Skittles under dresser upstairs
If this cabin was cleaner I would recommend it, but if it stays this way then I would stay somewhere else. Obviously there is no effort going into the cleaning of this place, my kids were even nervous to sleep in the beds because they thought that the sheets could still be dirty since the rest of the house was filthy.

Very good experience

We were in town for a wedding. The rental property was easy to find. Location is quiet and backs up to the golf course.
This property is a quaint little cabin in the mountains surrouned by trees. There is a garage at street level and a long wood runway with stairs that brings you from the road to the cabin. There are lights on the stairs, and a switch on the outside of the garage. I located the switch when we were packing to leave. Luckily I had flashlights during our stay for the walk in at night. Lots of stairs.
Everything in the place appeared to work except a few lightbulbs and the wood burning stove. The couch is old but works. The downstairs beds were fine but my parents complained about the upstairs bed.
My biggest issue with this rental is it appeared as if it has been neglected. The deck was replaced in the last couple of years by the looks of it but the interior is way overdue for some TLC. It did have a couple dog doors and a fenced pen. For those that have dogs.
We didnt use the garage, it looked like it hadnt been used in years. Also needs some attention.
They charge $200 for cleaning but instructions have you clean the place before you leave. So $200 covers linenes? Owners need to replace the carpet, couch, and fix the stove.
Based on condition and the long walk off the street, I dont think I'd rent this property again nor would I recommend it.
Nice big deck and view windows at the back. Very quiet. Summer time. No snow.

Perfectly located in a Tahoe forest setting yet close to major tourist attractions, my family had an awesome time. It gave us just the right escape from the city experience we were looking for.

Where do I start! The place was very dirty, with cob webs and dead flys in them. It didnt look anything like the pictures, I guess they have mastered the art of filters! After speeking with pinacle property management they were not able to help me find another location, so we were stuck in this place for six days. It ruined our vacation.

This house was amazing, surrounded by trees, nice deck, and doggy doors for the dog. Great grocery store and coffee shop down the street. So great, will definitely stay here again..hands down worth it!!!!

We spent a little over a week in this lovely cabin and had a great time just relaxing and doing a little sight-seeing. The house itself is quite comfortable and the fully fenced yard is a big plus for the pup to have a little fun time looking for squirrels. There were a few minor things we ran into, but all in all the house is great.
The location is great for hanging out and enjoying nature, but we did experience a considerable number of rude people on the golf course. This home is near one of the holes and for some reason people just don't get that they shouldn't be screaming and blaring radios near an occupied house.
The management team was great and when we called and mentioned that neither of us are real familiar with propane (we have a charcoal grill at home) and weren't sure how much gas was in the tank attached to the grill, they sent a couple of guys over with an extra tank to make sure we didn't run out.
We had a really nice time and very much appreciate folks that are willing to share their homes with us and our four-legged kids!

Very good. Everything needed was there. Location was perfect

We had a good time in the Breen family chalet . Bathrooms and carpet need to be upgraded though .
The Cabin was perfect for our parents 70th birthday party with minor superficial flaws. The outside deck had a big table to eat on and was very pleasant in the evening and was extremely private and quiet. The inside table was big enough to play games on and all in all the cabin was big enough for 5 adults and 3 kids. We did bring a blow up bed just in case - which we used because the extra bed pads that the cabin has in the closet are really old and dusty (looks like from the 70's). The stairs down to the cabin were OK for the entire family. Our 70 year old took her time coming down and up relatively easily. Our main complaints would be how old things are in the cabin. The couch is very dusty and old and the kids refused to sleep on the couch. The small barbecue fell apart - luckily before we started grilling. We had to put a board under the wheel to keep the barbecue upright. One side of the barbecue kept on going out when the lid was shut which made cooking a bit more challenging. Would recommend bringing your own toilet paper as the TP at this cabin is ultra thin and probably made from recycled paper - very rough on your bottom. Would recommend bringing your own towels as the ones this cabin supplies are definitely not soft (probably hang dried with no softener). Would also recommend bringing your own pillows as the ones that they supply are about three inches thick and need to be doubled over in order to support your head. And to dry clothes, you will need to rotate the dryer in order to open the dryer door as the drier does not fit into the space very well. We could not figure out how to play a DVD on their game box - so, I would recommend bringing a portable DVD player with an HDMI cable if you want to watch movies. There were also a few lights that did not turn on. But, all in all and with us bringing our own TP, extra towels, some pillows, and an inflatable bed (with sheets), we had a great experience.
Nice, quiet place in the woods. A little on the older side, but well worth it.
Very homey place makes you feel very comfortable being there. Would definitely go again.
Overall the house and it's location was good. The house needs a very thorough cleaning. The previous reviews mentioned the cobwebs at the ceiling and there was quite a bit. The tub looked clean but I didn't feel like touching the surround because of the fake stone. Just know it's impossible to be free of mildew/mold. We brought extra sheets and I covered the sofa because it looked very "lived in". It was great to have a washer/dryer but the appliances were crammed in the space and had to adjust the dryer so we could open the door. The most of the pans/pots need replacing. I would stay here again if it weren't for the things above.
Extremely dusty spiderwebs everywhere it looked as if it hasn’t been cleaned in months.
We had a very good time at this cabin, our only complain was that we found a seat me spiders and the common area is on the smaller side but other than that it was great.
We enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental ,its a bit smaller than what it looks like in the pictures but was great for my party of 7. The location is great,8_10 min to stores and the lake and about 15 to the casinos .the cabin was nice and had everything we needed for our stay I would rent this home again and would recommend it to friends as well
The house was clean and well maintained. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere here. We would sit at the kitchen table and just soak up the quiet surroundings of the numerous pine trees all around us. Very enjoyable!
We had a good stay, thank you for opening up your home.
Upon arrival, we noticed a very pungent odour in the home (smelled like pet urine), and there are several large stains on the carpet. This is not a new home, and we did not expect it to be. But we were quite shocked by the condition, as the photos/description let us believe this was a clean and safe home.
There were several large cob webs throughout the entire home, and the main floor bathroom has a 12'x12' section of black mould in the shower.
There is a $350 cleaning fee, which is unbelievable! If this home was clean, we'd be comfortable paying that, but when the entire home smells like urine, cob webs, bugs, and dust evident everywhere, and black mould and other unknown ceiling stains in the bathroom, this is WAY to high and very unfair! We were quite disappointed with the condition of the home.
I have taken photos for my reference.
It was my family and I first time in Lake Tahoe and it we had an awesome experience. The house we rented was beautiful and clean. The location was super close to the places we visited. Only thing is the water changes hot to cold while you're in the middle of showering but we totally understand being an older house. Overall we had a great time. Thanks again Michelle for letting us stay at your place! Hoping to come back again on the future!
Had a good time with family. Cabin would be awesome if it was better maintained. Property managers responded quickly and seemed to not know about the many repairs needed here. Maybe they should hire a different company to clean the place and have better communication with the maintenance person. Overall it didnt ruin our trip but for the amount we paid, we expected better.
We were looking for an affordable place close to Tahoe where we could take our dog along and have Wifi for my husband and teens. This cabin worked out really well. There was enough space for everyone inside and out. We spent quite a bit of time just looking out the windows at the trees or sitting out on the back deck. I cooked most of our meals. The Raley's in S. Lake Tahoe does e-cart, so we picked up our order when we got to town and were set for the rest of the visit. The kitchen was well organized and had plenty of cups, dishes and cooking utensils. All the major appliances worked well.
There were plenty of sheets, towels, pillows and blankets. The mattress upstairs was OK, but not great. My kids seemed happy with their mattresses. The fence is sturdy so we didn't have to worry about our pup escaping. There is a ceiling fan and several floor fans for when the afternoons heat up.
Wifi was generally good, cell phone reception was spotty. There was a Roku box for the TV, so we had access to Netflix.
There were a few little things that were annoying, but I am not sure the owners have much control. The property has forest on two sides, but the back is right on a golf course. The maintenance people got to work bright and early every morning of our stay, even Sunday with leafblowers, etc. Golfers parked right behind the fence and were not quiet as they golfed. We have a dog that is really sensitive to the noise of leaf blowers, so that made for some grumpy mornings. If you are there in winter, or don't have a yappy dog, it might not be an issue. Bring bug spray. The deck was fine, but down in the lower part of the back yard the bugs were bad. (early August)
Overall we had a really nice stay. We were within a short drive to Lake Tahoe, there were plenty of stores and restaurants. There is Tahoe Paradise Park nearby if you don't feel like driving to the lake. We played games, watched movies, made S'mores, hiked and just enjoyed our time together.
Private location in woods and quiet. Home smells like pets. Appliances, screen, and BBQ very well used.
This is a very nice home. In the woods, quiet and cozy. It has ample sleeping capacity, seating is a bit ackward of you have more than 5 people due to curved sofa. Bathrooms are well kept. Please expect no condiments (sugar, ketchup etc) in the kitchen. Generally it is quite okay but some hosts have spoilt us guests. Will recommend.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
