Great place. The rooms upstairs are spacious and nice. Loved that it had a garage where we kept extra belongings.

Excellent house! Enjoyed our stay here! We will see you in the Winter 2014!
14th year with LTA. Booking process, service and billing first class as always. The Cabin was cozy, well stocked, everything in working order. Perfect size for our group of 8 plus two children. See you next year. John

Our extended family has stayed in the cabin on several occasions and we look forward to returning. It is set in a partially wooded residential neighborhood with the National forest right across the street. The location is convenient to hiking, horseback riding, biking, kayaking, golfing and the Nature Center, which has sundry activities. The best part about the location is one doesn?t need to drive through town to get to the many activities as the main road to town gets very congested during the summer months. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious enough so that several people can participate in meal preparations. There is a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, a variety of pots and pans and all appliances were in working order. The kitchen table was a gathering place and we enjoyed all eating together at the large picnic table on the deck. The children had fun gathering the many pine cones.Lake Tahoe is a wonderful place to vacation and the cabin worked well for our family.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
