The house was very clean and nice, we have good time during the day and the kids love the little creeck behind the house. But we just have an issue at night time; we slept at donwstairs room and we heard every single noise from the uptairs all night long. Every single movement uptairs the wood creaked so we dind't rest good enought.
We loved the house! It was big enough for all of us. We definitely recommend renting this spot.
The house is great, exactly what you see online. We had an issue with the faucet upstairs not working, but the property management company had a repairman over within fifteen minutes of our call. He wasn't able to fix it, but we did without just fine. The only complaint I have about the house is that it really needs some patio furniture. There are a few old, dirty chairs on the back deck but there's plenty of ton for something a bit bigger and nicer.
We (family of 5) stayed recently at this wonderful vacation rental for a weekend. Its pretty close to the lake and other central attractions (dambola ride, ski..). Rooms were neat and clean and had everything we needed. It was a pleasure. hope to return soon...
Although there was no snow during our visit, this was a perfect place to stay for our winter getaway! Very sweet cottage style, cozy home. Perfect for one large family and another couple. It was a little dark downstairs and got very cold in the large upstairs bedroom, but other than than...very pleased with our stay!!
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
