This rental home has such a beautiful view! It's amazing. Very quiet and tranquil. On the other hand, there is no door to the upstairs bedroom and you can hear everything going on downstairs. Also, out of the 5 beds only one was comfortable. I woke up with aches and pains because the bed I slept in was so hard.

First this is the second time I have rented from C B McKinney and they are a pleasure to work with. Simple, easy and quick. The houses are well stocked with soaps, towels and just about anything you would need. This house is located in Tahoe Keys and the view from the kitchen which faces the backyard is fantastic. So peaceful to look out at the view each morning as you have your breakfast. I have no complaints at all regarding this house. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and location great. The backyard is fenced which was a great place for the dog and my grandkids to play. The house being in Tahoe Keys you have access to both the outdoor and indoor pool for a daily or weekly fee.
Very comfortable, clean and convenient to outdoor activities.
The house was fully equipted and easy. It was on the worn side and no bedroom door for the upstairs room, which was noisy. Location good and size good.
Tha place was located in a great neighborhood that was overall pretty quiet except for the taxis running on weekend nights. The view off the master bedroom balcony is beautiful as well as from the deck. The bedrooms are very large and roomy and the house has everything you need. Walking to the marina takes only a few minutes and leads right to some nice trails and right out to the lake. My little Beagle had the best time hiking the trails, swimming in the river and lake, playing with all of the other dogs that were there and relaxing in the spacious backyard. The house could have been a bit more detail cleaned but overall it was clean and inviting. We had a great time and saved the address so we can go back to the same house.
We really enjoyed the house on Venice. The hot tub, the large back yard. Our kids fun-fished in the canal. One thing I failed to mention when returning the key was the danger of the stairway railings. They are both loose.
We loved the location and view and outdoor space. Inside was adequate--comfortable for my family of 4 and 93 year old grandma. The house needs a good cleaning beyond the cleaning crew that changes the sheets. Since this was a 2 week rental, I spent time cleaning cabinets, bedding, walls, webs as all of this would have made me crazy for the long stay. The kids loved the location for easy access to bike trails. My grandma managed well staying down stairs--no stairs other than 3 at the front door. Only master bedroom is upstairs. Kitchen had everything you should need.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
