house could have been cleaner. near by residents told us we had to keep food stuff put in fridge so bears would not break in to the house and to take garbage out daily, no garbage bags on property....only a half role of toilet paper in rental.....had we known would have maybe rented something else. Nice house but you need to hire a new cleaning company

It was a last minute vacation plan for our family before school starts. I came across this really nice cabin and found the cost within my budget. I booked right away, the process was very simple. The cabin was really nice, spacious, and pet friendly. What I love about this place is it has all the kitchen tools I need to cook. It has washer and dryer so I was able to wash our dirty clothes before we went home. We had a great experience and really happy to find this cabin.

I loved it! It's a really cute place and my friends and I had a wonderful time staying there.
A perfect getaway for the two of us. The place was very pleasant. The area beautiful. Will be returning. The only thing that could be improved is the couch is not too comfortable for two people to sit on, but we didnt do a whole lot of sitting anyway.

This place was perfect for our stay! we loved the back yard lead to woods, the kids had fun playing in the snow. It felt very comfortable and we'll be def. going back!!!

Want peace and quiet, well this is the place!will be coming back. I just hope they get rid of that ugly looking roman lamp! My dogs kept on barking at it so we covered it!lol! Loved the place
The house was better than the pictures and description. Was a little weary about 1 bathroom for 7 people but it worked out fine. Look forward to staying here again.

This one is in a great location and in decent condition. I can't think of any better for that incredible price. I will probably rent it again in the future. Mckinney & Assoc. are very pleasant to deal with and very helpful.
Stayed for a weekend with spouse and a few friends. About 10 min from South Lake Tahoe, very relaxed feel, quiet, with an awesome fireplace.

This is cabin is roomy and fun. Nothing is fancy, but all functional. (Except the jets on the tub, they didn't work.) There is only one bathroom and the shower is quite small, but it all worked out and we had 7 people there. The deck furniture was a little disappointing, kind of rusty and old. Having a fire in the round fireplace was a snap and really warmed the cabin right up. The neighborhood is quiet and a good place to take a walk. It was very easy to get into town with all the needed stores. If you like a good cabin, this is for you!
This was a awesome place to stay not to far from downtown Lake Tahoe. We had a great stay and it was very inexpensive.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. There is a great hill for sledding behind this house. Kids had a blast and the adults enjoyed them selves by just relaxing after playing in the snow. We will definately stay here again but for a longer period of time. The weekend just wasn't long enough.
Love Tahoe Buddy!!!!on 01/02/2013
I've been to Tahoe plenty of times, but the has been the best experience I had since 2001. The center vintage fire place was awesome as well as the hot tub in the bathroom!!! I'm planning my next trip for the summer and I will definitely stay here again!!! Thanks CB - McKinney & Associates!!!

I was surprised to find a cabin that sleeps 8 for the price we were given, when we split up the price it came down to alot less than staying at a hotel. and was actually closer than sierra at Tahoe ski resort too, maybe a 20 minute drive with good road conditions. fireplace made gave it a very cozy cabin-in-the-woods kind of feel.

My kids and I visited just before Christmas 2009 and found the cabin neat, clean and well equipped. My only negative comment is with respect to the upstairs television which was not watchable due to bad color (perhaps the tube is worn out). The parking space, stairs and deck were plowed/shoveled for us when it snowed. The folks at CB-McKinney were helpful and pleasant to work with. We'd definitely go back.
Cabin was clean and in a nice neighborhood. I staied with my famliy and would return again.

Comfortable, spacious older cabin located in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle of town, but still close to everything. Two bedrooms downstairs, with another bedroom and a couple of twins upstairs in the large loft. The beds were very comfortable, as was the furniture in the living room. Windows everywhere. Private hot tub on the deck. The tv in the loft did not work, but maybe that's been fixed by now. Only one bathroom, but it was newly updated. No A/C, but fans were supplied. Internet connection was a plus. If you want a relaxing vacation and do not require anything fancy this might be the place for you.
This was a very nice and cozy cabin. My family and I really enjoyed it. It was to far from the lake, casinos, and stores. The price was right and I would definitely consider staying again.
we really had a great time staying here! :) it was really good! neighbors were peaceful & the surroundings are awesome. really can't wait to come back and rent this house again. thanks to CB Mckinney & Associates
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin, clean toilets, the only thing is that the carpets are filthy. One would think that for paying $135 for cleaning that the rug would actually be cleaned.
The South Lake Tahoe area is filled with amazing activities for the whole family. For the skiiers and snowboarders, Heavenly Mountain Resort offers some great powder during the winter time. The Gondola at this resort is one of the most popular attractions in all of Tahoe. If you're looking for other outdoor options, though, such as hiking, mountain biking, or nature walks, be sure you hit up the Mount Tallac Trail, Pope Beach, Taylor Creek, Lower Eagle Falls, Van Sickle Bi-State Park, or the Bijou Community Park (disc golf is popular here). The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena offers some great ice skating year round and Adventure Mountain is a great place to sled in the winter. Some other activities you might consider are hot-air-balloon rides, helicopter tours, boat tours, nature tours, wine-tasting tours, and heritage tours. For the educationally minded, Valhalla at Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum offer great historical information about the area. You can even catch your own dinner at the Tahoe Trout Farm! If being indoors is more your style, South Lake Tahoe has tons of great restaurants, bars, spas, galleries, and shops. Like the rest of Tahoe, there's plenty of access to kayaking, canoeing, boating, paddleboarding, and parasailing in this area, too. One of the best outdoor activities, though, is Regan Beach, which gets crowded but offers some great swimming and some stunning views. Oh, and you might drive a bit north to check out Fallen Leaf Lake, too! It's a great photo opportunity.
