I have stayed at the Caribe for at least 5 years in many different condos, this condo was probably the most unkept one thus far. Mold was visible around shower and toilet was left with black streaks around bowl that I hope was cleaner. Also I noticed that pools were somewhat unclean as to previous years. Now I do keep in mind that the wind was strong due to remnants from Harvey. Overall my family 's stay was nice but has been better previous years.

Arrived Sunday afternoon with a hand written note left on the bar that the pull out sofa was not working, but in process of being fixed. Tried calling office to find out when however they're closed on sundays. Called back on Monday several times with nobody answering so I left a message. Message was never returned on Monday so I called again on Tuesday, this time somebody answered and I asked what was being done about the pull out sofa that wasn't working. They were able to schedule someone to come in Tuesday to repair. I'm not happy I wasn't called or emailed beforehand about the sleeper sofa and was left a written note about it and that it took 3 days to reach someone from ALBVR. There are also some lights not working in the bathroom I did try changing bulbs out but that didn't fix it. I will say I did not call that in, but I am on vacation not working maintenance for ALBVR. Another issue is keycards, DO NOT LOSE THEM they will charge you 5$ Per card and will require you to go through ALBVR you cannot go to the front desk and get a new one. Overall the unit was decently clean (it stunk like bacon when we arrived) the location is great and the Caribe overall is very nice.

Wonderful quiet last minute trip. Only negative was Ice machine was broken and the Freezer Ice was frozen together. Once I threw the ice out and started it over, Freezer Ice Machine worked fine! We booked the trip the day before and everything worked perfect! Great Price!

If you want a first class vacation rental the Caribe is the place to stay. Our condominium was spacious, well stocked and the balcony had views of pools, gulf and wolf bay. This condo is gated with no public access. We felt very secure
And our grand daughter loved the indoor pools. The photos of the rooms online do not give them justice, The condo was so much more. The facility is only 3/4 mile from the Florida state line and just 1/2 hour from Pensacola. The fishing charter personnel there on the property is top notch as well. We will definitely return.

Everything was good except for the first night the air condition was not working so the first night was very hot for sleeping. Called the rental agency and they sent some one out that next day to repair it.

Both Ice Makers were broken, bulbs missing from three lamps and other recessed lighting in the unit. Toilets didn't flush properly. Showers had mold growing and just dirty all over the walls. Floor was not clean when we arrived, food pieces still on floor and rug in den. Very dissatisfied with this unit and rental company - stayed at Caribe for over 8 years annually and will never rent from this company again if this is the quality you represent.

This resort was a fabulous getaway for the whole family. The pools were great for kids of all ages. We have 2 preschool age children and they loved the slides in the indoor pool. I loved the fact that even when we had a little rain the kids could still swim indoors. The trolley that comes to deliver you to the beach is awesome for lugging all the sand toys! I highly recommend this resort to anyone with kids!

Great place! Highly recommended. Great off season vacation. Pools are great for kids. Had to go to rental office to pick up keys (Caribe won't allow lock boxes). A great rental company to work with! We will be back!

The condo is awesome. This is our second stay in this condo and I have only one request. The ice machine has not worked on either stay and it would really be nice if it was repaired. We love the Caribe, the views are awesome of the gulf and the bay. The pools and lazy river are great. We were lucky ,the boat races were going on and the view from the beach area was awesome as well ! The overall experience was great !!

I was very pleased with the location and the ammenities that the Caribe has to offer. I feel like the owners of C609 need to put a little more effort in maintaining the condo. We were under the assumption from the pictures of the condo that we would have an ice maker in the wet bar. There is an ice maker, however, it is not even hooked up! Very dissapointing!! Also, no light bulbs in the guest bedroom light fixtures. The toilet in the guest bath was backed up when we arrived. Management company came out the same day we called to fix the toilet, but we had to call them again the next day for the same problem. A broom should also be supplied with this unit. I didn't go on vacation with plans to have to supply my own broom, to be able to keep the property up. All of the dimmer light switches need to be checked, they do not work properly. We will definately be back at the Caribe again, but not in this particular condo.

We found that the grounds and structures of the Caribe were not as well-maintained as in previous visits. We were very disappointed in our condo this year. Both ice makers did not work and the ice maker in the wet bar exuded an odor of sewerage and could be smelled throughout the kitchen and living room. Since the ice makers were listed as amenities, it was very disappointing to get there and not have this amenity as we expected. Also, management was aware of the ice maker not working but had not made the proper provisions ahead of time. The kitchen was very ill-equipped. One large utensil and one mixing bowl is not nearly enough when preparing meals for a family of six. The guest bathroom toilet was not working properly. We had to plunge it with each usage. Housekeeping staff tried to accommodate by supplying two bags of ice and some utensils and bowls and calling maintenance. Maintenance did come and changed the light bulb in the master bathroom, but the toilet was never fixed. Booking staff was very nice upon making reservations and with questions, but not as nice when I called with the above listed problems. Overall, I did not feel that I had gotten my money's worth and I do expect to truly be satisfied when paying peak rates.

Overall very pleasant experience.
Some electrical outlets in the kitchen inoperative.
No hangers in entire Apartment.
Some of the living room furniture showing their age.
Stove top very dirty (age?)
Oven only operates to 375F
Living room curtain,very dirty on bottom with lead weights coming out.
Only one of the frypans usable
Knives not sharp!
Non of the remotes had batteries!(former guest must have removed)
No carts in Lobby to move items to the Appartment,hidden in room labeled "Cart room) for first time visitors confusing.
The whole Appartment can do with a good deep cleaning.

Other than above,we enjoyed our stay and have already reserved same for next year.
Property Managment Team very customer oriented and professional.

The condo was absolutely Beautiful, however let me tell you our experience. When we arrived, there was someone parked in our parking spot so therefore we had to park way out in a unmarked spot and unload all of our belongings and carry up to the room which was very uncomfortable. We had to make several trips which was very tiring. I spoke with security and they said they would see who the vehichle belonged to and would have it moved but it could be the next day before this would happened. We paid for 2 parking passes but only had 1 spot allotted for us to park in and I do not feel that was fair or honest. The very first night at 11:45 pm we was all in bed and we was awakened by someone beating on our door very loudly. I go to the door and it is a older Mexican man saying he was security and I was talking to him through the door and he was saying he was there to see about a water leak. I told him we was all in bed and he continually kept beating on the door so hard and loud that the people that was staying next door to us came out and asked what he was doing. He was very rude and would not listen to us. We assured him that we was all in bed and we had babies that were asleep and we was not running any water. Once that happened we couldn't go back to sleep because we was afraid he was gonna come back so that made our first night very unpleasant. We was also disappointed that the condo did not have a broom and dust pan so we could sweep the floors and we seen a vacumn cleaner so we was gonna use that only to find out that it didn't work. Also, there was only 1 trash bag in the trash can which we felt was very cheap. When you stay 3 days or more you are gonna use more than 1 trash bag. Needless to say, we thought the condo was beautiful and the location was good however we would never stay at this location again.

We loved staying at this resort for the first time, there was so much for our kids to do and taking the trolley to the beach was no problem at all. In fact the stretch of beach was very quiet compared to our other stays at condos directly on the beach. I was aware that the ice makers and couch fold out bed may be broken as previously stated in other reviews. I will confirm that they are still broken so hopefully those will get fixed soon. Also the screen door to the balcony was broken as well. However this unit was very clean and well stocked, overall we had a great time!

fridge ice maker broken, ice pours on the floor when you open the door. called albvr to get it fixed, no show. when we tried to fill coolers it was a solid chunk of ice. ice maker in bar completely broken. lock on bedroom door is broken. other than that, great condo.

Unit was as described. Very clean and adequate for our stay. The sleeper sofa was so uncomfortable that it couldn't be used but that is the only complaint.
We have stayed at the Caribe for several years now and this year I noticed how little attention is being paid to the outdoor and pool areas. Fountains didn't work, cement crumbling and just an overall lack of attention to detail.
The security staff at the guard gate were rude and made returning to our unit quite unpleasant, asking the same questions every time despite the fact that we had a parking pass.

The ice machine didn't work (which is a very important feature)! The toilet ran in the master bedroom non-stop. The key pick up location was ridiculous. The markup over a holiday weekend was unacceptable!

Great location!.. Very clean.. Kids loved the pools even though the weather wasn't the best during our stay.. The only complaint I have about this condo unit was the fold out bed in living room was not in good condition at all.. In my opinion it needs to be replaced if anyone is expected to sleep on it.. And there was a dust pan but no broom in the unit.. Luckily weren't to messy.. Overall I would recommend this unit and return in the future.

Wasn't happy with the check-in process, when arrived @rental mnge to pickup key it wasn't there. For some reason the maids had it after talking with rental mnge(she was very nice) back & forth waiting over an hour on someone to bring the key was adv to go on to the Caribe finally received key. We had to check out a day early due to my mom got very sick (5 days later she died) I thought @least what we went thru in checking in & leaving early for emergency I would get my $ back for 1 night, never received anything. I also paid for insurance up front.

This was our second stay at the Caribe Resort and the first time in this condo. The rental company was fantastic to work with! Absolutely no problems there and the resort is wonderful with many things to do to keep you busy. We found the condo very clean and comfortable. However, we can only describe this condo as "bare bones basic". Upon staying in this condo you have the feeling that the owner has purchased it for rental purposes only and never stays there himself. The kitchen is furnished VERY sparsely! For example, three knives, eight forks and no hot pad holders! The icemaker in the wet bar does not work and there are no towel racks in the bathrooms. The bed skirt in the back bedroom was stained and torn - needs to be replaced. All in all, we had an enjoyable time. The resort itself is filled with great amenities - this particular unit - not so much!

We have stayed at the Caribe twice now, as well as several other vacation rentals on Orange Beach and Perdido Key. All our stays have been great, but we came back to the Caribe because of the pools. The beach is beautiful and we went several times, but you do have to drive a short way if the courtesy bus isn't running.
The condo was lovely and very clean. One small complaint though, was that the kitchen amenities were a bit sparse. We prepare almost all our meals and missed not having a cutting board or basket to steam vegetables, and not a lot of silverware. There were plenty of pots and pans. We ended up extending our stay which proved to be very easy and we would be be happy to stay in this unit again!! Be sure to bring your own beach towels!
