We stayed here for a couple nights and really enjoyed the amount of space. There is a living-room with a fire place on the second floor, a hot-tub on the deck, and three rooms on the third floor. There is a fantastic and spacious den on the first floor with its own fire place, couches (two futons that), and a TV with a small selection of movies. What we didn't expect was the generous amount of firewood and the great view of the lake. The only thing that I was displeased with was the they cut the power during one of the days from 9am to 4PM which forced even those of us that were not skiing out of the house, but I understand that it was out of their control and cleverly accounted for in the property rental agreement.

The property management is very responsive. The house is roomy. Beds are really comfortable. We would definitely book the place again.

This is a comfortable home, fairly clean, just needs some updating. The stairs/railings are a bit rickety so if you have rambunctious little ones you may want to keep an extra eye on them. I was up over 4th of July and it must be pretty busy, I think the cleaning service may have overlooked a few items. The coffee pot was missing the top (which makes it hard to brew coffee!)and there was only one frypan (that we could find)as all of the pots and pans were thrown quite haphazardly into a cupboard and I didnt feel right pulling everything out and reorganizing it. The only other drawback is the water is quite a jaunt away down meandering pathways that are very confusing, we passed a few other folks that were renting and they were having the same problem. Much easier to find from the water walking up! Lastly I must say, the customer service with "stay at lake tahoe" was awesome. When I called about the coffee pot at 8am they asked if they could bring a new one out immediately. On the second night at about 2 minutes to 5PM (they close at 5) the front door lock "stuck" and we were locked out, they had a locksmith there within 30 minutes and also called to follow up to make sure I had gotten in safely and all was well. The staff was helpful and courteous. We will definitely use "Stay at Lake Tahoe" again.

Location

Tahoma is nestled amonth Tahoe's west shore. Visitors here can enjoy lovely hiking trails, picturesque beaches, water sports, and more. Homewood Mountain is also close by for those poweder lovers! The Tahoe Maritime Museum will give you a great overview of the nautical history of Tahoe, and the Chambers Landing Bar and Restaurant is a super fun bar located right on the lake. Another popular spot in the area is Meeks Bay Beach, which offers camping, swimming, a great beach, and gear rentals for getting out on that water (jet skis, kayaks, canoes, etc). You can also get a helicopter ride in the area and if you're a hiker or mountin biker, Meeks Bay Beach area is a perfect spot to stop off at! This area is also a good mid-distance between South Lake Tahoe and North Tahoe.
