Sea Dunes is a private community close to the beach in the heart of Kitty Hawk at milepost 4.5 These townhomes are modern and spacious‚ promising a relaxing worry free vacation for you and your family. All units are within walking distance to a lifeguarded beach.
Sea Dunes community amenities include a clubhouse, community pool, hot tub, tennis courts, exercise facilities. The recreation center includes a pool, a 2,000 gallon spa, racquetball court, tennis court, weight equipment and a patio area. Located directed across the street from a lifeguarded beach. Each townhome has a central heating and air‚ sundecks‚ fireplace‚ garage‚ outside shower‚ dishwasher‚ microwave, washer/dryer, private balcony, spacious living room and well equipped kitchen on the top floor along with a sundeck.
Pool‚ hot tub and recreation room are not available during off season. All amenities available May 1st to September 1st‚ weather permitting.

The place is very convenient to the beach. That is the ONLY plus thing that I found about the place.
1/the white table that is shown on the picture is not there...there is only one wooden pick nick table that you could get slivers .
2/deck...needs major renovation. no screens on the patio doors
3/showers....let's just say the pressure is none existent. also tub had hair when we arrived.
4/beds...I don't think the mattresses have been replaced from the time that place was originally bought which I am guessing back in early 1980.
6/ There were 4 coffee makers and NONE of them worked.
7/ Couch....you could sink in it (not in a good way either).
8/There are 2 flights of stairs (which I do not mind....HOWEVER...if you have kids you better watch their every step because there are no gates. If you want to charge top $$ at least update the bare necessities.
9/GRILL....when we called and asked OBX if there was a grill we were TOLD there was a grill by the pool area "public grill" there is NO SUCH THING. please go and look yourself first before you give the wrong information to guests. ALL the other unit owners/renters had grills in the garage. our unit was the only unit that did not have a grill. Just say the owner does not permit grills or does not have a grill.

We chose this property last minute and there was a little misunderstanding. The special price that was agreed on apparently did not include linens and towels however, the Shoreline App that I downloaded and was using said it had those amenities and I didn't bring them. The property is very outdated and has a plush mauve carpet throughout. Although that gives it a more homey feel, it appeared dirty. There were very minimal kitchen cookware. I actually went and purchased a skillet so that we could prepare meals in a more timely manner. Upon arrival we found used bars of soap in the shower and piles of sand and cigarette butts in the garage. All in all the location is great however this home was not the perfect beach vacation.

The condo is exactly as pictured. It was very clean and well maintained. The beach access is right across the street and the view from the deck is amazing! We enjoyed the very short walk up to Black Pelican a few times for drinks/dinner. The garage is huge and a great bonus to have during our stay. I definitely recommend this property. It really is a great value for the size and location.

We were not allowed to check-in early, although the cleaning had been completed. The bed linens and towels were not provided until the 2nd day. A gas grill was advertised on the web site, but not provided. The stairs up were very steep. Overall I would never recommend this condo !!!!

Great stay, our family had an amazing trip. The closeness to the beach really made beach days easy. The management company was a pleasure to deal with, would stay here again!
Very bad experience. Bad check in, and house was not cleaned prior to arrival. The house has a great location but nothing else. Lacks all comforts of home. No mixing bowels, baking sheets, etc. Property is very worn down. Needs refreshed.
We had a wonderful week, and really liked how close this unit is to the beach. I do think the unit owners need to replace the mauve "dates" the home, but in general, great place for the money.
The selling point of this property is the ocean view and the proximity to the beach. The unit we stayed in was outdated, mold in the guest bedroom from a water leak and the deck had a loose railing. The railing was fixed during our stay and a temporary fix to the mold issue which was right over my son's bed. The kitchen area was very outdated in terms of appliances,etc.
The townhouse needs updated. The master bedroom needs a new mattress. It is worn out. New carpet was nice but I had a difficult time opening doors since it would get stuck on carpet. Good location to see the ocean. Having the guest clean the townhouse was ridiculous. I have rented other vacation homes and have never had to clean them. You should take $100 off the price of rental if you are going to make the guest clean it.
