Silver Mill building itself was dirty and need of repair. The unit itself is also need of repair and updating. For example the 2nd bedroom door has a panel broken out. Instead of replacing door, they tried a very unprofessional fix, leaving a hole visible hole in the door. Carpet worn out and dust all over the painted accent wall. I truly expect better for the money.
Dave H.on 02/19/2018
The room was ok, but showing its age in places:
- The wall in the bathroom was patched but not painted;
- The door to the 2nd bedroom had been damaged and repaired;
- The toilet seat in the master bathroom was missing a support, causing it to wobble if you sit on it.
Only one key to the ski lockers, but we only stayed 1 night so wasn't an issue for us -- would have been if we stayed longer.
The main thing to be aware of is this unit overlooks the road and huge parking lot right in front of the complex. We got several inches of snow overnight, and beginning at 5:00 AM we were treated to the snowplows clearing the road and parking lot...Scrape, back up (BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP), scrape, back up (BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP)...we were first in line when the lifts opened, though.

This condo is in a good location, easy walk to the Gondola or Summit Express lift, even with ski boots on.
The condo is pretty tired and beat up. Cabinet door falling off, toilet paper holder barely hanging on the wall, worn out furniture including the beds.
Time to update the furniture and do some general updating.
The beds and bedding are my biggest complaint. Both my friend and I were waking up with allergy symptoms from the bedding. Felt old and dusty, and it was apparent the sheets and towels were laundered with very industrial, cheap detergent. With so many people coming through, who knows how they will react. Use something that is hypoallergenic and scent free.
I will say, given what they are working with, the cleaning crew did a pretty good job. Bathrooms and the general condo were pretty clean.
TV remote didnt work. We put new batteries in, and it still wouldn't turn the TV on or off.
Fireplace either doesn't work, or is really not intuitive. Tried all the switches on and around the fireplace, nothing. No instructions anywhere on how to start it.

We have stayed in the Silver Mill building before and this stay was right in line with the other units we have been in. Great location in River Run and the unit was in good shape. No complaints at all. Just big enough for our family of 4.
Sara G.on 10/22/2017
We are a small family of 3 and we visited in the off-season. The condo was clean and the Kitchen well-appointed. This is a cozy little spot and we would rent it again.

The condo was great and cozy. We enjoyed our summer stay. Unfortunately, all of the beds in the condo were rather uncomfortable. The foam mattress on the king bed seemed very cheap and old. The sheets did not fit securely. The twin beds moved off the wall and were very unsteady. Besides that, everything was good!
Daniel G.on 06/29/2017
The place was clean, offered the amenities of home and conveniently located to Keystone, Breckenridge and Dillon. Thank you
Rachel T.on 06/09/2017
We had a wonderful stay in Keystone. This was our first trip to CO and we enjoyed feeling "at home" in this rental. The area was fantastic, as were the amenities offered with this booking.
Elizabeth D.on 03/21/2017
They tried to change our credit card and my mother in laws for a late checkout when there was no possible way we could have because our plane to Arkansas left at 3 pm. They were also dishonest with vrbo witch I didn't figure out to after the fact when I tried to pay for it they sent me to the Sumit mountain webpage instead and went around vrbo

We only had the chance to stay for one night in this great condo so I know we didn't fully experience what it could have been. However what experience we did have I can say was great! The location was super. Office staff and check in process is really easy! Having garage parking was sweet! Beds were comfy and the overall condo was a great choice for us. We would most certainly rent again!

Beautiful clean condo in the heart of the village. Even though the season was barely open, and most of the activities we planned to do were closed we were so happy to have this gem to stay in! I was overly pleased with how well stocked the kitchen was! Since it was thanksgiving I had everything I needed and more to complete my favorite meal on my favorite day! thank you!!
Jessica E.on 06/19/2016
We decided we needed a little family get away and this was just perfect. You have a full kitchen and more than one bathroom! With it being the same price if not cheaper than a hotel in the area. The only down side is we had a little one and they have high chairs but you have to pay to use them.
Briana M.on 05/14/2016
The property was just as described.
JJ P.on 01/09/2016
Good location, easy to get to, easy to get the key.
Matthew M.on 12/13/2015
The unit was nice. The blinds covering the slider to the patio were about to fall off and hard to open. There were crumbs all over the kitchen counter when we checked in but the rest of the unit seemed clean. Also, the single beds in the guest room were not very nice. Overall we enjoyed the property. The hot tubs, steam room, and game room were very nice. We would stay again.
Krzysztof S.on 12/03/2015
Great location. You are right behind Starbucks in Keystone. 3 min walk to the gondola. The condo is not very large, but plenty of room for 4-5 people. Kitchen was well stocked. Towels were provided. Did a late checkout for $20 - very easy. Overall, a great experience. Thank you so much!

4stars-We enjoyed Keystone very much and area activities
3stars-condition is older but could look better by cleaning carpets, general touch ups
2stars-condo not very clean table was not washed and sticky, probably needs to be refinished. Oven dirty, some lights burned out bulbs, living room remote missing, carpets dirty need to be cleaned. condo needs deep cleaning, dusty. Stove burners need repaired or replaced.
2stars-didn't see any one from property management
3stars-area is nice we would go again ourselves before recommending to a friend to see if conditions were unusual for our stay this time.

Enjoyed our stay at this condo. No complaints!
Mike T.on 06/26/2015
I will never use summit mountain county retreats, the condo was dirty and the frying pan was scratched so bad my whole family would have probably gotten sick if used..The patio and patio furniture was filthy..I explained my issues and the staff didn't want to do anything about it so I said I would take it up with my bank..then I get a letter saying I will be prosecuted with a felony..The owner didn't even try to contact me to hear what issues I had..very unprofessional
Ron T.on 12/20/2014
We stayed at this condo just prior to Christmas. Was within easy walking distance to Gondola and condo was in very good condition. Would recommend for a family of 4 or up to 6 if some don't mind sleeping on a pull-out.
Shaw L.on 12/05/2014
Great time. Seems like some equipment is getting a little old - ie broken elevator and dishwasher, and keycard issues. These were little hiccups in an otherwise fantastic experience for me and my guests.
Great very helpful staff through every step of the process.
I would love to come back and do it again!
Lisa B.on 10/25/2014
It was great. It was clean, and good location. It was a great family vacation. My kids are 26,18,and 14 with a 4 year old grandson. There was plenty of room. The only thing I didn't like was that the master bath doesn't have a door. I would love to come back. Thank you
Robynne A.on 04/06/2014
This condo was really great. It is nice and very roomy. I did have to call the maintance staff about the dishwasher and they came over quickly to fix it. I think that this unit needs a new dishwasher and a new fixture in the shower in the master bath as the handle comes unscrewed with use. Other than that it was great and I would rent it again. The only thing that would make it better is a stackable washer/dryer in the unit.
Greg W.on 12/29/2013
Everything went smooth
The condo would be a good fit if you had 2 small children instead of grown young men. The condo is tight for 4 adults. The unit had upgraded the TV's and mounted them to the wall which is nice, but the TV cabinets had not been removed. Our sons did not have any room in the twin bedroom. The cabinet drawers were blocked by the bed. The two night stands need to be replaced with a small chest so clothing can be off the floor which is the only place to put clothing as the room is set up now. The twin beds were so uncomfortable (need foam toppers) that one of our sons had to sleep on the coach to get rest. The TV cabinets need to be removed from the condo. The den is very dark and the club chair is worn and dingy. No one wanted to sit in it which made it interesting for 3 men and a woman to sit on the small sectional. We did not use the outside patio due to the cold weather, but cushions from obviously an original coach were on the chairs -- they looked very tacky. The owners and/or the management company need to remove and replace furniture to make the rooms more spacious, filled with light and functional.
The vacation rental was at Silvermilland Riverrun. Silvermill is by far our favorite. This particular condo however seemed to be needing some maintenance. Humidifiers in the condo work. Three of the four chairs at the table were loose. And The amenities in the kitchen were far below what we normally experience at Silver mill. Other than that the condo is similar to what we have stayed in before at Riverrun and Silvermill.
Great location and comfortable place to stay.
Everything was clean and had a great stay. Great hot tubs and everything was super close.
The condo was nice. It was clean, but it just needs a little up dating. The stove is a worn, it should be replaced. The twin beds could be softer. They were pretty hard. But overall it is a nice place to stay. The location is wonderful!
Overall a great stay in a cozy 2 bedroom suite - we slept 4 adults, 3 children - and that fireplace really keeps things toasty! Only complaints: you face the parking lot, which means early-morning beeping snow-removal machines outside the window. Also felt that the 4pm checkin and 10am checkout (with extra $$ for earlier/later) felt pretty lame. You are 5 minutes walk from the gondola, so that's cool.
Silver Mill is lovely property, conveniently situated at the base of Keystone for our wedding! We had guests stay at SM. We were married at the Quaking Aspen Amphitheater and had cake and champagne in the common area at Silver Mill - followed by a gondola ride to the top of the mountain. Everything was perfect!
The upper vents in the bathroom need cleaned full of dirt/dust. The mattress in the master bedroom needs replaced! There is a foam topper on top but the mattress is totally bowed. My husband and I kept rolling in to the middle of the bed almost like it was a pit. The kitchen table should come with a tablecloth. The wood is so sticky. Also the cleaning staff should double check the dishes from the dishwasher. I had several bowls and a lot of silverware that had to be soaked and rewashed b/c there was food stuck on them. One of the bowls had dried up eggs in it. I only gave the cleaning a 2 and we did not leave any extra tip when we left since we had felt like we needed to wash everything before we ate on it. Only gave proper mgmt a 3 just b/c we never saw anyone around that we could have reported anything to. We would have like to have known if we could have gotten more wash clothes but never saw anyone. It was a fine stay the resort over all. Probably would pick a different condo next time.
Overall it was fine, but cleanliness was an issue. There was hair in the bathroom, there was dirt between the sofa cushions, and the list goes on. The kitchen was much to be desired for and because of this we opted to eat out for every meal. Overall it's ok, but I probably won't stay here again.
The unit was clean, with all appliances in working order. A shelf in the refrigerator is broken, but wasn't a big deal for us (we didn't have a lot in it). I've stayed in several units in this complex and some others may be a bit nicer, but no complaints and if stay in it again. Faces the parking lot (still nice mountain view) but with window open to cool unit at night, it could be a little loud in the morning with cleaning and snow removal. In silver mill overall, it would be nice to see them upkeep the party room a little better. It's a beautiful room with a pool table, but many of the balls were chipped and most of the sticks had broken tips.
Overall, the location was great. The walk to the gondola and restaurants was only a few minutes. This specific condo just needs a little TLC. The refrigerator was a little beat up (it had cracks on the inside and froze all of our groceries), the toilets overflowed almost every time someone used them, we only had one remote for 3 TVs, half of the light bulbs were burnt out, and the twin beds both had legs broken so they were completely unstable. The carpets and rugs were dirty and could use a good steam cleaning.
This was one of several trips we have made to Keystone but our first time staying in the River Run area. I found the price of this rental very reasonable for the location very close to the gondola. The condo was roomy enough despite a small living area/kitchen and the building was very nice and well kept. Parking easy underground. The check-in and out were so simple as well. Just had to pick up keys from a lock-box and then leave on counter in unit.
We had an incredible weekend stay as a family here! The location was awesome and condo was mostly very clean, (has a table that seems forever sticky) bring table cloth! Took some hunting to find things in the kitchen but all necessary things were there.
The place had some wear and dings as is expected by high use and ski condo perhaps but overall quite functional and we couldn't beat the price! Contacted the management company by email about some damage when we arrived and they offered to fix it while we were there. (Not functional defect just a couple broken blinds and light bulbs etc) We opted not to as we had mappers with us but they were professional and helpful. We had a great time and would go back.
I was very disappointed in the service provided by the management company. It all started when we arrived and there was no letter or key for us in the safe box. Fortunately maintenance was on call and willing to come back to the office to get our paperwork and keys for us. We were able to enter the condo just fine however after leaving the building our key did not work to enter the building. What a fiasco. We wasted more time on the phone with maintenance trying to get that worked out. Besides the key issues the garage door didn't work consistently and we just didn't want to spend anymore of our time dealing with problems. I would not recommend going to this condo.
This is a lovely unit right in the heart of town. We traveled with our family to Keystone for the holidays and I am glad we chose this place. It was great and very comfortable.
Everything was as described in the rental. Thank you,
Well maintained, stocked with dishware and utensils, clean, no issues. TV in every room. Looks out mostly toward parking lot. A good place to stay during my conference and for my family to take day trips. The Keystone Gondola area is a bit slow on summer weekdays, but that's nice too.
We enjoyed the condo. We really liked the village environment. Everyone was helpful.
However, the pullout bed was terrible and dirty. We found crumbs inside the bed. We had to sleep on the couch. There was animal hair in the room and outside cushions.
Five adults stayed for three nights very comfortably with suitable cooking supplies to make our own meals and plenty of linens supplied. Check in/out was easy, all instructions provided. My only complaint about properties that allow pets is we could "smell" pet odor. There was a magazine left from a previous visitor that had pet urine on it so I'm sure it ended up in the carpet somewhere. Altho there was no sign of dog fur inside the condo, the patio chair cushions were covered with hair. It's unfortunate for the owners, I would reconsider allowing pets and from now on will reconsider renting from properties who allow pets. We prefer to vacation without our pets~ thus a vacation for all.
Upon our late arrival we were getting into bed and discovered a white crusty substance on the bedspread. We called the number that was given out in case we needed anything and was told that they would take care of it in the morning. The dust and dirtiness was inexcusable. Not to mention charging $100.00 for cleaning fees. Went to the office the following day to complain and was pretty much told that it was the end of the season and that they didn't do a thorough cleaning until ski season was over with. $250.00 per night is a lot to pay. We have season passes for Keystone and A-Basin and won't be staying at these properties again.
This unit was a great location with wonderful amenities. The Unit works great for a family with kids. The Cable didn't work very well and that was kind of a bummer trying to watch the Olympics - oh well.
Keystone and Dillon are the two major towns in this location, and both offer a ton of amazing things to do no matter what the season! There's obviously some great skiing in the area, and hitting up the Keystone Ski Resort, Columbine Ski & Sport, Dercum's Dash on the Mountain, the Loveland Ski Area, or the Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will get you out skiing or snowboarding on some beautiful slopes. The area also features amazing hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, kayaking and canoeing, and more. Some great outdoor spots you should be sure to hit are Dillon Reservoir, Marina Park, Loveland Pass, Guanella Pass, and the Snake River. Dillon also has a nice little Farmer's Market, and the area has great indoor activities too, including the Lake Dillon Theatre Company, the Dillon Amphitheater, the Snake River Saloon, and Pug Ryan's Steakhouse and Brewery. For the history-minded, the Dillon Schoolhouse Museum might be more your style. The area also features horseback riding tours, spas, great bars and restaurants, bowling, golf courses, and the beautiful Keystone Lake.
