    A group of 10 friends and family had a wonderful week here in January. The setting is perfect--wonderful sunrises and sunsets and convenient to everywhere we wanted to go, although we spent a great deal of time on the lanai and in the water near the house. We rented standup paddle boards for the week and they were heavily used, right at the house. There was plenty of room for all of us to have privacy and also enjoy times together, although the bathrooms were small and could stand some upgrading. The house was well-stocked with all kinds of beach gear, everything we could have wished for, including beach towels, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, aquasoxs and beach chairs. The house also had games, playing cards, and jigsaw puzzles.
    We cooked most of our meals at the house and the kitchen was adequate, except there were no serving dishes large enough for 10 people. A nice feature is a separate wet bar with a standalone ice maker, so we never ran out of ice. There is a Whole Foods nearby and the Costco was only 20 min away. All in all it was a great trip, very private and quiet, a great place to relax and to enjoy a big group.

    Recently purchased, the new owners have completely remodeled and added a fourth bedroom and third bathroom, making the home ideal for 8-10 guests. Bedding includes queen sized master, two guests rooms with 2 twins beds each and a new guest room with full-sized bed and twin trundle along with ensuite bathroom.

    Property is fully air-conditioned and gated for added security. Located halfway between Kahala and Hawaii Kai, this location is ideal for those who desire to see the sights of Oahu. Offers easy driving distance to Hanauma Bay, Waikiki Beach, Downtown Honolulu, Pearl Harbor and the beaches of Windward Oahu.

    First of all, this is by far the best vacation home that I personally ever stayed in. Just as it described, this house can easily accommodate up to 10 people. Our family of eight (plus a 3-month old baby) stayed comfortably for 8 days, and everyone had a fantastic time, including the baby!

    The oceanfront location is unbeatable, while it is convenient, the amazing scenery views it provides were absolutely stunning. My wife and I spent many mornings on the oceanfront lanai/porch enjoying the calm ocean waves, and delighted in the breathtaking sunsets during the evenings.

    Overall, the house is in great condition. It is fully renovated with stylish furnishing which aligns seamlessly with the Hawaiian theme. My in-laws loved the high-quality hardwood floor and I personally appreciate the entire kitchen. There are air conditions available; however, we only needed to turn it on a few times solely for the comfort of our little baby. The entire house is well ventilated; the windows and sliding doors provided great circulation with the help of ocean winds.

    I took 1 star off the property’s general condition only due to the malfunction of the Jacuzzi. However, Lisa reacted immediately by sending professional service technician to the site, but unfortunately it’s heating system was not functional and we couldn’t get it work during the length of our staying.

    Speaking of professionalism from the property management company - Private Home Hawaii, we were fully satisfied with their service and enthusiasm. The team offered various services to ensure our staying was pleasant, such as a late checkout and modified bed arrangements. Kim was very patient throughout the booking process, answering numerous questions and concerns we had. Steven warmly welcomed us upon arrival. According to the ladies, the supplied amenities were top premium brands, and they loved it.

    We definitely come back to this wonderful home.

    Positives-beautiful view of the city and water -morning sun with big doors that opened -towels and bathroom floor mat seemed new and very clean -provided two beach chairs -iron but no ironing board, extra toilet paper was provided Negatives -on arrival, notice there was no hot water, it did work a day later but still annoying when trying to clean dishes or shower. -two pillows on bed were very thin probably from overuse and appeared to be very old, only a thin sheet was provided. Nights were a bit chilly and there were no extra blankets to get warm -carpet looked clean but after walking around and stepping on sharp gross things (rice, hair and other food stuck in carpet) it was clear it was not as clean as I thought. - draws were falling out so be careful when opening, some utensils, plates and cups were dirty -main light in living space was burnt out -front door was very hard to close and sticks so make sure you check that it is closed tight and locked -blow dryer was broken

This is the classic Lanikai Beach House - for those looking for a casual, relaxing getaway on the shores of one of the worlds' best beaches!
