Located approximately 1/2 mile east of hwy 59 in Gulf Shores, AL and next to the Island Shores condominium. This building offers bedroom units (with views varying between a direct gulf front view and indirect views ). The units are slightly larger than Island Shores, and offer a more traditional floor plan than the galley style units next door.
Island Sunrise was designed with slightly smaller and affordable units and is one of the top three or four, least expensive gulf front complexes to buy into. It is a great rental complex and offers its owners a great opportunity to "cash flow" the unit, if you decide to rent. The complex offers a convenient location, walking distance to many restaurants, shops and other venues, including the state park fishing pier. The complex offers an outdoor pool, barbeque area, and a covered area under the building with swings and picnic tables to escape the warm summer days.

If you are looking for a rundown 1970-80's dump you have found the right place. Window screens that look like a dog chewed them. Beds are like sleeping on concrete and sheets to match it. Ice maker does not work, and a kitchen that should be condemned. We will never stay in this unit again.

Great spot on the beach. We took advantage of the bbq grills and the tables. The Condo we rented needs a good deep cleaning as well as the mattress needs to be replaced and the doors are very hard to close and open.

The complex is right on the beach, you can not get any closer. The Condo complex was quiet and family friendly. The unit is on the side of the building so the gulf is not visible from inside, but the balcony provides a great view of the water. There is a casual ocean front seafood restaurant right next door. You can walk to a local grocer and other places. At the end of the street is an entertainment/restaurant venue with music called the Hang Out, it was a great place to go and was a favorite of our teenagers. A fishing pier is 1/4 mile away for those that want to fish.
The condo itself was dated and yes frugally appointed and equipped, but we knew that. We wanted to pay for the beach not the Condo. Most importantly it was clean, well maintained and bug free, which is the most important thing and it served us well, as the beach is why we were there. I would liked to have had a better mattress and 1 of the patio chairs needed to be replaced, but that is my only less than positive point.
The only real issue we had was not the condo but parking which was fine right up to the night of the 4th of July. We were there over the week of the 4th. I would not recommend you leave that evening as you may not have a parking spot when you return. We encountered this on the late afternoon of July 4th and the night of the 5th. There are apparently more parking passes issued then parking spaces and everyone was there for 4th festivities and to watch the fireworks that are displayed just down from the condo, which was cool. We were fortunate as things finally worked out for us regarding parking on those 2 nights. Other than the parking on those 2 nights, every thing was great and we enjoyed the stay. The entire area is wonderful and there is no shortage of things to do or places to eat and there is a great beach right out the back door. Yes, we would stay there again.

The overall property is good. The condo we stayed in was dated but clean. Island Sunrise has great beach access making it easy to get to the beach and back. The grill area is great

We go to gulf shores every summer. I have to say this was the first time I used anchor reality and the condo was one of the worst I have stayed in. It needs updating badly, the carpet needs to be replaced it was stretched out and filthy. The front bathroom door had a hole in it, the windows were dirty we cleaned them ourselves. The front door handle was falling off. this unit needs work before rented

We had a great time in the condo! The location was perfect even though the weather was not as warm as we would have liked it to be. We will definitely come back!

OveralL good. Master bedroom needs new mattress, it has no support and sinks in the middle. Terrible night sleep. 2nd bedroom bath..the shower only allowed a trickle of water.

Great Place to stay. Convenient to everything.
20th year coming down here. Love Gulf Shores for sure. Condo was ok but seemed dated like something out of the 80's. Definitely needs upgrades facelift and had the bare minimum when it came to dishes, pots and pans, and storage containers for foods. I guess you get what you pay for. Thought for the money we could pay for a 2 bedroom the same as. 1 bedroom at the lighthouse and regretted not booking the lighthouse. Someone should tell the condo owner that their frugalness shines through in his property. Disappointed we booked for 10 days
The condo is decent. Very old, and very dated. Inside the condo, the appliances, furniture, beds, fixtures, etc...all of it needs to be updated. Very old, most from the 70's. We also had a leak in the ceiling during our stay, which was unsightly, but we got through it. The building itself needs some work too...fresh paint, repairs to the elevator. But the condo is in a great location, and the rental company was very easy to deal with. If updated, I'd stay here again, but you can find a modern comparable for around the same price if you do a little searching.
This place has a great location to the beach the condo is a little dated. The condo had everything I needed to cook for the family and save a little money. The elevator sux only 1 of the so you might have to wait a while for it. It was also nice to have BBQ puts outside on the ground floor.
This condo property is a 6 or 7 floor mid-rise building directly on a great beach. There is a shaded lounging area (with furniture and a swing) on the ground level overlooking the beach to relax if someone wants to stay out of the sun. There is a friendly nighttime security guard in the entry area each night. It's not that he's needed for safety, but it's nice to have someone there in case you need anything. The building is not real new, and in some areas shows its age. The building did not have a hot tub, which we had hoped for, as the pool area was simply an unheated pool on the street side of the building. Our unit's A/C worked wonderfully, our unit was adequately equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the balcony has a side-view of the ocean. The wireless internet service that is supposed to be present and included is non-existent, and therefore frustrating to have to use a cell phone to access internet. However, overall, we were satisfied with our selection of this property. The convenient location of the building to restaurants and its fantastic beach far outweigh any shortcomings of the building itself. Anchor properties was friendly and helpful. Also, they include a selection of activities that allows one person per unit to take advantage of one activity each day at no cost. I only did one activity, which was the deep-sea fishing party boat. I would have done additional activities, but they were cancelled by the providers due to the Kenny Chesney concert that weekend. I'm not sure how much cost for the "free" activities is buried in the fees charged by Anchor. I had asked for a break-down of the rather high "FEEs" included on my invoice (almost as much as the total rent for 3 days), but was not given a clear answer. I would like to know how much was variable based on length of stay, and how much was a fixed single charge, such as cleaning fee. My advice would be to ask what the add-on fees are, and if any are optional, prior to booking. I booked on the arrival day, so I had agreed to the total $ amount due, without really knowing what the rental rate and fees were ahead of time.
Location was great! Condo was clean but can use updating. Surprised to see no television in either bedroom. Building has a security guard and he was very helpful with any questions we had about the area. Would definitely stay again. Condo offered wifi but was never able to stay connected. Called help number for internet problems but finally gave up.
The unit is very old and needs a lot of repairs. Also anchor vacation rentals was very rude the day we checked in. It was okay as much as we stayed in the condo but would not stay again in this condo.
