Excellent. Frequent renter of this property. Island Resort management always responsive to any issues. Thanks.

First of all, the grass was knee high when we arrived to get to the steps. The shower in master was stopped up, and no can opener. All of above were eventually taken care of. Have no gripe with them! There was one pot & about 5 skillets. The utensils looked like what your daughter would play tea party with. Tiny!! The covering for counter stools was torn. Better to have none. Back door needed painting. Appeared dirty. Ceiling fans needed cleaning.

Our experience was very smooth from picking up the key to finding our rental. The house was clean, in a great location, and in very good condition.

We have been staying in this property for the last 3 years. We have been pleased since we are seniors and the house is only 2 bedroom. Just enough room for company for a short visit. There have been several upgrades but, the living room furniture definitely needs to be up dated.

We enjoyed our family vacation to Dauphin Island. we love the island. This is our 3rd family vacation to Dauphin Island. The house we rented this time needs some updates. Water standing under house the entire time, which attracted many mosquito's. Many lights bulbs were out, we notified management. Back steps on bay side need some type of lights on them, my wife fell and broke her finger due to poor lighting. Beds were not comfortable. We loved the location tho. AC worked well. House was not as well equipped with things like our previous rental. In all we had an excellent time but would not rent this house again.

Great location on the West End bayside. No other homes to distract your views. We found the home to be 'well loved' meaning it could use a fresh coat of paint etc. but was great for the price. It has everything you need including washer/dryer coffee pot and ice in the freezer. We loved touring the area, sleeping in and listening to the birds and waves. Management staff was very friendly.

This home is in the ideal location. Totally enjoyed. The home needs some tender loving care but is roomy enough for 6.

This was 3 years we have been at Sunset Beach. We are snowbirds so our stay is a little longer than just a week or so. New flooring has been put down and some of the decking replaced so that overall the appearance was much better. AND you sure can't beat those sunsets!

We absolutely LOVED staying here! The rental is even nicer looking in person. The view is stunning. It's perfect for a family that wants to relax. We were able to go swimming in the bay everyday. I can not say enough good things about this rental! It was perfect for little kids because the waves on the bay side are not as bad as the ocean side so my toddler loved it! The walk to the ocean side isn't bad either if you want to do that too. The house was very clean and well maintained. It exceeded our expectations.
Vacation was very relaxing. House needs some TLC. Kitchen silverware was tiny, bowls cracked, needs more kitchen serving items. Pull out sofa was horrible. Had to call maintenance and horrible to sleep on. Otherwise stay was great. Good location to beach and bay. Cleaning could have been better.
Quiet, private location with an extraordinary view! Cottage was more than adequate. Plenty of opportunities to just do nothing.
We truly enjoyed our stay overall the first week was a little like being at home dealing with a delivery from Lowes, then repairman whom were sent from your management company to take measurements for a new counter top, and lastly a service person to spray for pest. We were abliging to each of those individuals but all three days disturbed our plans which we had set for our vacation. Prior notification would have been helpful if those task had to be managed by us as renters. The last week was enjoyable with no interruptions. Which made for a real vacation opposed to the day to day requirements of a homeowner. The home was nice but is showing its use a tad bit. The deck was glorious and the cut out path to the beach was clean of debris. There was ample deck furniture and the furniture inside was showing some of its age. The closet space was huge but served as a storage area for beach items. The kitchen was supplied with all necessary kitchen items to prepare great meals. The new washer and dryer were outstanding. The street was super quite which was so cozy in the evenings to watch the sunsets. We enjoyed every restaurant on the island and every shopping store on the island.
We checked in while Hurricane Irma was close to FL. Immediately we felt peaceful being on the Sound side. The house is so beautiful. I felt at home because it's lived in. I mean that in a positive way. It was very clean, everything was provided that we were told would be there. We never turned on a tv, so I can't speak for that. Plenty of seating inside or out. Huge deck facing the Sound with a charcoal grill and hose to clean up before going inside. Plenty of towels. We arrived late and had called, so check in was easy as was check out. The employees were professional. We were left a note that a new washer and dryer were being delivered while we were there. At first, we were annoyed. But they came around 8:30 am. My husband was already up, and they were gone before I knew it. Plan on staying again.
Highly recommended! Never stayed in a beach house before and I fell in love! PREFECT view! Right there on the bay and then right across the street is the beach! Very clean house! Can't wait to go back! The staff was really helpful and nice!
Island Resort Management, LLC review: Dauphin Island is a dog friendly location. For us, dog friendly was the reason we chose Dauphin Island. The Island’s dog friendly policy is simple – owners are required to keep their pet on a leash. Upon arrival, we were greeted by 5 unleashed dogs. Dogs that chased us into the rental property. Immediately, we phoned Island Resort Management, LLC. A gentleman from Island Resort Management, LLC came to the house next door (red roof) and spoke to the family. Unfortunately, day after day, the neighbors continued to let their 5 dogs wander unleashed. We have several photos, videos, etc. to document the events mentioned above. Ultimately, we left after 3 nights. Island Resort Management, LLC did NOT remedy the situation nor did they offer a refund (we paid for 7 nights).
Property review: The house is cute but in need of repairs. There were stains on the towels, holes in the bed sheets, scratches on the dryer, soffit hanging near the rear deck, condensation dripping from the vent in the kitchen, etc.
Don't waste your time or money...
It was such a breeze to check in. The house was really nice and had wonderful views. Wish I could have stayed longer!
We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Beach very much. The cottage was in need of repairs and cold use some updates. However, the location is very good, beautiful sunsets, great walks on the beach and is only Aa short walk to the beach or relax on the large deck. We3 liked that we could park the car under the house for protection from the weather. The timing was good on the weather. We only had one days of rain. We would definitely go back. We were told that the property has a new owner who plans to do some repairs and updates. Overall, it was a very pleasant week.
The property management personnel were great. The house was expected. Everything worked. Great view. Great island. The only negative is the steps. The four of us are seniors with some physical limitations. The front steps are steep; hard to negotiate for us. The side steps were better.
I've been coming to DI since I was a kid in 1983. We stayed on Port Royal up until a few years ago. This is my first visit back, and the house wasn't available so I rented this one with hope. It is wonderful! Perfect size for me and my two kids (two bedrooms, two baths) with lots of windows and light, tall ceilings in all but the bathrooms and kids' room. Partially covered back deck that looks out onto the Sound, and a short walk to the beach. Houses around but it is fairly isolated, so quiet save for the sound of the surf. Ahhh. On the inside, DirecTV and free, good wireless internet. Plentiful sheets, towels, kitchenware. Modern lighting, comfy beach house carpet (functional but not too cheap and scratchy). Typical beach house decor that reminds a person she's on vacation. Now, my son is going back down to the beach, and I with him. Come visit!
We were expecting much more than we received. The pictures available on line are not accurate. The house is in need of serious upgrade. We battled loose nails to broken treads on the deck, doors that would not click shut, and windows that were a battle to open and close. And don't get me started on the threats over taking out the trash. Beware that the road into the property floods seriously. I will give the company awards for taking care of the fridge issues we were having, but other issues we had were not addressed. Would not rent this property again. The best thing were the views. We expected more for the money we spent. We have stayed in cabins at the lake in better shape. Did not expect to find dead bugs in window sills. Also disappointed in the debris on the beach surrounding the property.
After a winter of Midwestern subzero days our week at Sunset Beach on Dauphin Island totally exceeded our expectations. When looking at properties online there are usually "hidden" surprises when you get there. Not so with this rental and rental agency. Everything was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. A dog friendly unit is hard to find and this is a pearl. Beautiful sunrises, sunsets, fabulous seafood, privacy and dog friendly neighbors make for a great vacation. Rent some bikes for the week, fish, kayak or simply enjoy the ocean breeze, this is the place to do it. We will definitely be back!
Great beachfront house on Mississippi Sound with the gulf just across the street. Private beach with our own lagoon wildlife, dog loved the partially covered deck, lots of comfortable living space with outstanding views, and overall ambiance. Dauphin Island is a #1 travel destination as far as I'm concerned with great restaurants and seafood shops like Skinners, Jt's Sunset Grill, Islanders, DI BBQ,etc.. A must see & visit!
We liked it so well we are going back 2 months afytr our first visit.
