Overall this house was perfect for a group of 5 of us. Good location, spacious. Only issue was upon arrival the water had been turned off and the pipe was frozen. Because it was so late we had issues getting ahold of someone to help us. Luckily we figured it out on our own. Next time someone should check before guests arrive to ensure that the water is actually working.

It was very cool: location, the house and everything inside - was really great (totally met our expectations). Everything was clean and ready for our stay. Even hot tube was working (not suppose to, because it should work only on weekends and we rented it for several working days).

This is a 2 bedroom + den condo (that is, not 3 bedrooms) with fairly dated kitchen, but otherwise a good place to stay for a weekend.
The people sleeping in the den will have to go to bed last, it has no walls or doors and above the living and kitchen.
- Very clean.
- Room for 8 (4 in bedrooms, 4 in the den).
- Old electric range, and kitchen cabinets.
- Outdoor parking.

The place was close to Squaw Valley. It was clean and plenty of rooms to accommodate 6 people.

1. The property was dirty
2. The hot water was not working for 8 people as advertised. The next person would need to wait for 30 mins after somebody has taken a bath for water to warm up again.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean and well equipped though overall could use some remodeling.
A little disappointed about the rec center. It was not heated, and you have to pay to use pool table.

A family of 6 staying for 6 nights in the carnelian Woods property. The property had 1 king, 2 queen/doubles and bunk beds. this was ideal for our group. The apartment was in a lovely wooded location. A short distance away were the pool, spa and clubhouse, tennis courts and volleyball. The pool is very big, and we used the spas too. We enjoyed the apartment and on the whole it was pretty good. Maybe the kitchen cabinets and some utensils could do with an update. There are 2 full bathrooms which helped enormously. we were 5 mins from the lakeshore, and there are a few eateries and boat hire. Lovely to have woodland views from the bedroom and lounge.

The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The amenities were outstanding. The pool/lodge area was very nice.

The condo was as described and shown in the pictures. It was plenty comfortable for our family of four and well stocked with everything we needed. The only thing I noticed that needed attention was the range. It's time to replace it. The master bedroom door is out of adjustment. There was some confusion about our check out time and the cleaning staff attempted to enter while we were still there but we had the chain on the door so they didn't get too far. We had agreed upon a later check out time but the message hadn't made it to the cleaning folks. It didn't lessen our experience so all's well that ends well.

The unit was well-furnished and clean. There was ample space for everyone and the loft area was perfect for our 3 grandchildren. Our question about the cable to operate the tv was right away given attention by management and from then on was smooth sailing. The facilities suited our needs and expectations.. Thank you.
Had a wonderful time with family!
This unit needs some work, some upgrades and some lights! We were in the dark for the whole stay!
We had a good time. There were 8 of us, which is definitely the maximum number of people who can stay here. We found that we had enough room. The fireplace was very nice. The location was very close to Alpine. The dishwasher was a bit weird and was constantly full from 8 people. I wish they had left us with more paper towels, but other than that I can't complain!
This is a nice location. Walking distance to the pool and lake. This unit could use some updates like paint in the bedrooms and most of the power outlets in the kitchen did not work. Overall it was nice and clean. It was reasonably priced..
The property lived up to expectations. There were a few minor issues, but that is true most everywhere - nothing of any consequence and we all enjoyed our stay. We did not have a chance to enjoy any of the amenities of the complex, but the rental unit itself was just what we were looking for.
House was adequate for our family of four. Water pipes froze and the HOA responded within the hour of our call. Disappointed in the Recreation Center as there is no workout room or fitness equipment. Kitchen is old, needs new pots, pans, etc.
Carnelian Bay's North Lake Tahoe location makes for a great, quiet getway. Close to the casinos of North Lake Tahoe, public beaches, paddleboarding, kayaking, and more, this location has it all no matter what the season. Family-friendly skiing and snowboarding is close by at Northstar Ski Resort. But you're also right on the lake in Carnelian Bay. Rent kayaks or canoes, or a boat, and hit the lake. Or just sit at the beach and sunbathe or read a book. You can rent Jet skis too, or parasail or wind surf - fishing is also very popular as well. You can pay for a tour or just rent some gear and a boat and hit the lake. Magic Carpet Golf offers some great mini golf and Commons Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area, offering a beautiful view and great swimming conditions.
