Located in Agate Bay, hardly one mile from the shores of Lake Tahoe, this beautiful and affordable home boasts a unique combination of modern-day facilities and old-world charm. In fact this home seems more like a hunting cabin than a sophisticated home—but looks can be very deceptive.
There are a few stairs that take you to the well-lit porch of this lovely little home. The entire house is done in wood, and its secluded location will surely make you feel like you are actually in the womb of a dense forest. The living room is cozy with plush, soft sofas and a large stuffed chair. There is also a sitting arrangement by the glass window next to the huge flat-screen TV. There is a wood-stove in the corner of the room, which makes the room comfortably warm even in the chilliest of days. The music system is also in this room in case you want to listen to some music while relaxing in front of the fire. The dining area is just behind the stuffed chair. This dark wood table with nice chairs seats six people, and a bright chandelier hangs over it. The kitchen is fully loaded with modern appliances, making cooking a pleasurable experience.
The completely carpeted and cheerfully color-coordinated master bedroom has a queen bed with earthy-toned bed linens and feathery soft cushions and pillows. The large dresser with ample drawers and a mirror over it, and the table lamp on the dresser, add to the ambience. Both sides of the bed have side tables with reading lamps, ensuring that you can curl up in bed with your favorite paperback and read late into the night without disturbing anyone. There is an attached ¾ bathroom for this bedroom, with a shower stall and utility rack. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, but is more minimalistic in décor. It has a wooden chest of drawers and wood-paneling on the lower half of the walls. The bed linens are also in earthy tones of orange, off-white, and beige. The third bedroom is more floral in décor, and has two twin beds. Towards the headrest of these beds, the wall is completely wood-paneled—there’s also a chest of drawers present, with a lamp atop. Across this bedroom is the second bathroom—a full bath with a shower stall and wood-colored fittings.
As you move toward the back of the house, you find yourself out on the large back deck with lovely patio furniture and a charcoal grill. You can sit back and relax on this deck, soaking up the sun—or maybe enjoy a quiet BBQ dinner with your family, all of you looking out at the dense wilderness beyond.
