  • This quaint cabin in Kings Beach is the perfect retreat for a small family in Tahoe. This home lets you enjoy a host of vacation activities. This area also has the largest sandy beach on Tahoe’s North Shore, making it ideal for those lazy afternoon siestas—or those long evening walks.

This charming home has a lovely living room that comes with a comfortable sleeper sofa, log-wood chairs, cable TV, and a Blu-Ray DVD player. Grab a novel from the bookcase and cozy up on the couch. And if you don’t want to read, why not just put your feet up and enjoy the television shows on the flat-screen TV? The kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern facilities you would need to whip up the perfect meal for your family. The kitchen also has the washer and the dryer in a corner.

Featuring two bedrooms, this home is comfortable for a mid-sized group. The first bedroom comes with a king bed and a small futon. With wood-paneled walls and a plank-wood ceiling, this room is warm and inviting. Both sides of the bed have wooden tables with reading lamps atop, adding a warm glow to the room. There is also a dresser with drawers and a lamp on top. The second bedroom has one bunk bed—two twins—and a small futon. This bedroom is true cabin-style—wood-paneled walls and wooden ceilings. The picture window brings in the warm sunlight and lights up the room. The only bath in the home is a full one with a shower tub.

This home is what you have been looking for when it comes to spending quality time with your family. With additional amenities such as a bear shed, a coffee maker, a one-car garage, natural gas heating, and Internet with Wi-Fi, this home ensures that your stay in Tahoe is super comfortable. And yes, if you want to bring along your pooch, you can!

Bed Configuration: Bedroom 1: King & Small Futon Chair | Bedroom 2: Bunk (2 twins) & Small Futon Chair | Living Room: Double Convertible Bed.

Sturdy cabin right up the street from the beach! We loved the location and the layout. The beds were comfortable (king for husband and I and bunkbeds for the kids), and the kitchen serviceable. Nothing fancy, but certainly relaxing. The yard out front needed some work (tall weeds) and the dirt driveway was a bit of a challenge at times (no walk to the front or side door). I would not want to struggle with that if there were snow.

  • This lovely newly remodeled lofted condo in Kingswood Village is an ideal location for your next family vacation. The entry to the home has a wooden bench in a corridor leading to the open living area that combines in it the kitchen and the dining area. Plush, comfortable sofas adorn the living room and face a large flat-screen TV. Behind the TV is a slider leading out to the deck.

The entire area has high vaulted ceilings that make the room seem large and spacious. On one side of the living area is the dining table with an interesting wheel-shaped chandelier over the table. The wooden-plank table has a seating capacity of six, with four chairs and a bench. Behind the living and dining area is the modern kitchen with high-end appliances and high stools for those quick bites.

On the ground level are two of the three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a comfortable and large queen bed in log wood. Opposite the bed, in a corner of the room, is a wooden cabinet, and on top of it is a TV. A slider leads to the deck outside. Both sides of the bed have lamps that bathe the room in a warm glow. The second bedroom has two bunk beds with two twins. These beds are also made of log wood, and in between the beds is a wooden chest of drawers with a large TV on top. Opposite the beds is a table with four chairs around it, making it a place to enjoy some board games. Leading out of the slider is a large deck with the glorious views around.

There is a full bath on this floor with “his & her” sinks and a glass-enclosed shower area. The third bedroom of the home is on the second floor, and is adorned with a queen bed done in carved light wood. With wooden tables with lamps on top of them on either side of the bed, the room is well lit and cozy. One side of the bed has a glass window letting in the natural light. The second bath of the home is on this floor, and has a glass-enclosed shower- tub. The loft area of the home has also been converted for sleeping. This area has one bunk bed with two twin beds. There is TV on one side of the bed in this room.

Amenities include basic expanded cable, garbage disposal, RV/boat parking, washer/dryer, Internet, natural gas heating, and patio, the home is actually a prime catch. This rental offers you access to several community amenities such as club house, par course, pool, tennis court, fitness room, ping pong table, volleyball court, and kiddie pool.

  • Recently remodeled with all modern facilities and appliances, this home is located just off Highway 267 on the National Forest and bike trails, and is a quick three minutes to the lake's beaches, golf courses, restaurants, and shopping. The house is also just six minutes away from Northstar California's downhill skiing and mountain biking options. Bring along your pets and watch them frolic around happily.

A great thing about this house is that it features two living rooms. The first living room is cozy, with one queen futon, a potted plant in one corner, and a TV in the other corner. Comfortable sofas in beige with a wooden center table and red rug complete the rest of the décor. The second living room, with a woodstove dominating it, features a TV, beige sofas, a wooden center table with knick-knacks, and a cane chair. The gourmet kitchen has granite counters and comes with all the latest appliances you will need to rustle up a great meal.

The sleeping areas are spread across two bedrooms and a loft area. The first bedroom has a queen bed with an en-suite full bathroom. With earthy tones and wood paneling like the rest of the cabin, this bedroom is neat and comfortable. The second bedroom too has a queen bed. The heavily carpeted loft area is coziness personified, with one king bed and one twin bed. There is a second full bathroom in the cabin as well—this one comes with a washer/dryer in it.

Step outside and you will find yourself on the wraparound deck that comes with seating for 12 under canopied tables. You can enjoy a summer BBQ out here—or maybe even soak up the sun during the sunny winters. Feel free to sit around the cheery fire you can crackle up in the fire-pit outside. Nestled in a forested setting complete with creek, this home also offers a gas grill and a serene, peaceful atmosphere.

Since the cabin is so close to Kings Beach and other North Lake Tahoe Beaches, the house owners have thoughtfully provided all of your beach necessities—beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, blankets, beach bags, and even sunscreen. You really couldn’t possibly ask for a better vacation rental if you're looking to spend some time outdoors, especially at the beach.

The large TV is set right next to the fireplace, making this living area the perfect place for you to curl up and catch up on your favorite shows. The entire wall on the left is done in wood, giving it the true cabin look. Next to the living area is the open kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances, breakfast bar, and new granite counters. A sunny morning breakfast can be served right here on the counter with its four high stools. Opposite the open kitchen is the dining table, which seats six people and is great to have your meals at with the great Lake Tahoe in full view. With a beautiful chandelier hanging atop, and two single old-world candelabras on the table, the atmosphere is of complete coziness and intimacy. The entire house is upholstered in the latest furnishings and antiques, setting this house apart from many of its contemporaries.

Done in simple blue and beige tones, the first bedroom is the one located on the lower floor of the house. With two twin beds, this bedroom features attractive bed linens, simple wall paintings, and a half bath. As you move upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms here. The first bedroom has one full bed and is decorated in a hunting cabin style. The wall facing the full bed is done in wood and there are two wooden side tables with reading lamps for you to laze in bed reading a paperback late into the night. The color scheme of this room is earthy, which adds to the cocoon-like coziness. The loveliest part of the entire house is the master bedroom—with a king-sized bed, this room is comfort personified. There is a TV facing the bed, which means that you can sit back and enjoy your favorite shows without leaving the warm comfort of the gas fireplace during those chilly winter evenings. The attached bathroom has a jetted tub—perfect to just soak in and let your worries ease out of your body.

  • Entering the condo, you will first come to the living room, which is very beautifully done in dark, earthy colors for the upholstery and light, airy shades for the walls. The rug underneath the large wooden center table is also in a dark shade, balancing the light aura of the room. There is a large flat-screen TV in front of the plush sofa, making this a convenient place for you to sit, relax, and enjoy your favorite shows. But the most interesting part of the room is the wood-burning rock fireplace in the corner. There is one pull-out sleeper sofa and one twin roll-away bed in the living room. The dining table, which is done in dark wood, seats 6. The chandelier fan adds elegance to the area. The gourmet kitchen with modern appliances is done in varnished wood. There is a ½ bath in this lower portion of the house. This bathroom has off-white fittings with wood work for the doors and racks.

Move on to the upper area of the home and you have two beautiful bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed with one twin bed. The golden-iron queen bed has a regal touch, while the twin bed is done up in fun prints, making it ideal for a youngster to sleep in. There is a TV in the top right corner facing the queen bed. The pristine white curtains and the cheery paintings on the walls make this room refreshingly sophisticated. There is an en-suite bathroom complete with a shower and tub. The second bedroom has a four-post queen bed in dark wood. This bedroom is the yin to the yang of the first bedroom. The décor of this room is on the darker side with an artistic lamp on the left and a beautiful table lamp in black and red on the right. There is an en-suite bathroom off this room too. Very similar to the other bathroom, this one too is done in wood for the doors and cabinets, and white for the fittings.

  • This charming, recently remodeled cabin has awesome lake views and lovely surroundings. This lovely cabin is the perfect retreat for a couple or a small family. Come here and let the calming beauty rejuvenate you, making you feel at one with nature.

This lovely little two-level cabin comes with wooden interiors and newly installed flooring, which combine to add a rustic charm to the entire cabin. The well-lit living room features comfortable sofas, lovely wooden tables, and a wall unit with the TV inside of it. Further on from the living room is the dining area, and towards its left of that is the kitchen. The wooden dining table is artistically done in wooden planks and so are the two-seaters on either side of the table. The innovative kitchen has been recently remodeled and it has everything you'll need for meals and entertaining. The most interesting part of the kitchen décor is the double-door refrigerator that has been placed underneath the staircase. The only bathroom in this house is located further on from the dining room. With a covered shower stall and beautiful lights adding a lovely glow, the newly remodeled bathroom looks great.

Take the staircase upstairs and you will see that the walls near the stairs are covered with bookcases for you to get your fill of great literature—or of pulp fiction. On both sides of the staircase are the two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a lovely queen bed, a wooden chest of drawers, bedside lamps, and a wicker basket in the corner adding a cozy atmosphere. The rocking chair and the wood paneling give a cheery, rustic feel to the room. The two mirrors toward one side of the bed give the room a larger look and feel. Across from this bedroom is the second bedroom, simplistically decorated with heavy carpeting and a day bed (two twins) with cheery linens. The rocking chair in the corner of the room gives it a homey feel. The rooms are so comfortable that you won't want to leave the cozy warmth of their interiors. There is a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer.

Grab a novel from the bookcase in the stairwell and cozy up on the couch in front of the picture window overlooking the lake—or sit out on the large wraparound deck and enjoy the gorgeous views. The large wraparound deck is a treat for those sunny summer afternoons or those glorious winter evenings. This cabin-in-the-woods is great for a couple's retreat, but it's also perfect for a small family.

Enjoy your Carnelian Bay vacation rental.

The cabin was exactly as described, and provided a cozy retreat. We enjoyed our stay there, and would definitely return. We found the beds exactly to our liking - not too firm and not too soft. The location is convenient for walking to BBQ spots, restaurants and shops. Amenities are basic as described (some may not like doing their own dishes, but we don't mind). Chefs take note: if you plan to cook your meals, you may want to bring any special kitchen items your recipes call for (sharp knives, spatula, cheese grater, serving platters and bowls, etc. - e.g., there was no cheese grater, so we bought one from the grocery store and donated it to the cabin) and basic cooking ingredients (salt, pepper, spices, etc.). While many rentals in the Tahoe area stock these items, this cabin does not. However, pots and pans, plates, bowls, flatware, mugs and drinking glasses are abundant.

  • Boasting stylish Tahoe Ski Décor, this gorgeous chalet is a short distance away from Agate Bay. With floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light, this home is open and spacious — while the carpeted floors and wood accents throughout the place add a touch of cozy elegance. The living area in this home is spread across both levels, with the first level having two bedrooms, while the second level has the living-dining-kitchen area and a huge third bedroom that doubles up as a family room.

The living room has couches and chairs arranged around a stone fireplace and a large flat-screen TV. The floor-to-ceiling windows that take up one wall make this area bright and airy. The kitchen is right next to the living area, and features granite countertops, wooden cabinets, and modern appliances. The two separate bar counters with seating areas are great for grabbing a quick meal. There is a large wooden dining table off to the side of the kitchen, with classy seating for eight people at a time.

The first level has two bedrooms — both superbly furnished with wall-to-wall carpeting, large comfortable beds, and wooden dressers. Both these bedrooms have wood paneling on the walls and ceilings, and are decorated with framed prints on the walls. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom, which can also be accessed from the hallway by another door. There are two other full baths in this home. The remaining bedroom on the upper level is huge — it also functions as the family room, equipped with comfortable couches and five twin beds. Oh yes, you can also challenge the kids to a game of foosball here!

The main attraction of this home is the large wooden deck that opens up from the living room on the upper level. It has a sunken, redwood hot tub with a screening wooden wall for privacy. It also has recliners if you simply want to relax and soak up the sun. If you are in the mood for some steak, you can take advantage of the charcoal grill that is on the deck as well.

Look no further than this beautiful chalet if you want to enjoy luxurious solitude during your stay in Tahoe. Other amenities that are included with this home are a microwave, a dishwasher, an icemaker, a washing machine and clothes dryer, and high-speed DSL and wireless Internet. There is parking available for your RV or boat as well.

This is an older house that has not been well maintained. The exterior of the house looks like it has not been stained or painted in 20 years. The interior is somewhat "dumpy" and should have been rented at half the price we paid on a holiday weekend. The living room sofa is very uncomfortable and has an old tube TV. No one in my group wanted to spend any time in this section of the house because of this poor setup. So, not a good house for socializing in a comfortable manner. The bathroom in the master bedroom has sections of the wall that were falling apart. This was really "low budget" and was unacceptable given the price we paid per night. The mattresses on the bunk beds had a plastic outer layer and were not comfortable. The teenagers in my group hated them and I had to keep apologizing for renting a house with so many poor amenities. Obviously, I would not recommend this house unless you want a real low budget place. But make sure you get a low budget price (like $175 per night) to match the low budget experience.

  • This beautiful and affordable home boasts a unique combination of modern-day facilities and old-world charm. In fact this home seems more like a hunting cabin than a sophisticated home—but looks can be very deceptive.

There are a few stairs that take you to the well-lit porch of this lovely little home. The entire house is done in wood, and its secluded location will surely make you feel like you are actually in the womb of a dense forest. The living room is cozy with plush, soft sofas and a large stuffed chair. There is also a sitting arrangement by the glass window next to the huge flat-screen TV. There is a wood-stove in the corner of the room, which makes the room comfortably warm even in the chilliest of days.

The music system is also in this room in case you want to listen to some music while relaxing in front of the fire. The dining area is just behind the stuffed chair. This dark wood table with nice chairs seats six people, and a bright chandelier hangs over it. The kitchen is fully loaded with modern appliances, making cooking a pleasurable experience.

The completely carpeted and cheerfully color-coordinated master bedroom has a queen bed with earthy-toned bed linens and feathery soft cushions and pillows. The large dresser with ample drawers and a mirror over it, and the table lamp on the dresser, add to the ambience. Both sides of the bed have side tables with reading lamps, ensuring that you can curl up in bed with your favorite paperback and read late into the night without disturbing anyone. There is an attached ¾ bathroom for this bedroom, with a shower stall and utility rack. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, but is more minimalistic in décor.

It has a wooden chest of drawers and wood-paneling on the lower half of the walls. The bed linens are also in earthy tones of orange, off-white, and beige. The third bedroom is more floral in décor, and has two twin beds. Towards the headrest of these beds, the wall is completely wood-paneled—there’s also a chest of drawers present, with a lamp atop. Across this bedroom is the second bathroom—a full bath with a shower stall and wood-colored fittings.

As you move toward the back of the house, you find yourself out on the large back deck with lovely patio furniture and a charcoal grill. You can sit back and relax on this deck, soaking up the sun—or maybe enjoy a quiet BBQ dinner with your family, all of you looking out at the dense wilderness beyond.

The deck also has a gas-fired grill and patio furniture if you plan to host a BBQ party for your friends. The back deck offers a lot of space to enjoy the sunshine, and the big grassy yard is a great place for the kids to play. The half-acre lot is a great place for sledding and snowball fights in the winter, while it makes for a great croquet and corn-hole court in the summer. If you are looking for a truly exceptional place to enjoy your Tahoe stay ub, this luxury home is ideal for you.
