This contemporary-style mountain chalet is a great and affordable option for your next Tahoe vacation. Well-maintained and in a very quiet, woodsy setting, this chalet is perfect for a big, social group of people. The kitchen is large, the dining area has a table that can seat 10, and the sunken living room is very spacious and has a gas woodstove as well as satellite TV.

Inside this home you will find a spacious and comfortable living room that has plush carpeting, a nice-sized TV, and a gorgeous woodstove that serves as the centerpiece of the room. The dining room is right next to the living room and features a nice big table as well as a sliding-glass door that will take you right out to the deck. The kitchen is right next to the dining area and it features a bar/island that can be used for additional seating during meal time if you need it. Additionally, the kitchen has a lot of counter space and features a wide-open floor plan, which is great if you have multiple cooks in your party. The appliances are modern and there's a nice big window over the sink, too, so you can look out at the birds and squirrels while you're doing the dishes.

Amenities in this home include TVs with VCRs and DVD players, a home theater system, satellite TV, a stereo, a gas fireplace, a gas grill, a hot tub, a spacious deck, a dishwasher, roadside parking, Internet access, and much more.

Best of all, this features a spacious back deck that is surrounded by towering pine trees. This deck is perfect for catching some sun, entertaining friends, grilling up some dinner, enjoying some breakfast in the sun, or just lounging around alone reading a good book or enjoying your morning coffee. The deck comes with a nice-sized table as well as an umbrella and patio chairs. But best of all, the deck features a warm and spacious hot tub. This truly is a beautiful spot to come home to after a long day out on the slopes, out hiking, or even out shopping. Let all of your cares melt away as you sit in the hot tub, enjoy a drink, and look up at the trees and stars surrounding you.

There are two lofts in this home, one above the master bedroom and one above the main living area. The lofts are a great place for the kids to crash or settle down in front of a movie.

Some great National Forest hiking and biking trails are within easy walking distance from this house, too, and you'll find kayak rentals, boat rentals, bike rentals, and mini golf nearby as well. This home is also just a short drive away from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar. So go ahead, if you want to be centrally located on the North Shore in a home with lots of relaxing amenities, then look no further than this lovely, pet-friendly chalet.

The place was great and spacious. We had great meals, enjoyed the hot tub and went for a awesome hike down near Emerald Bay on Saturday. Tahoe Getaways was real easy to deal with, everything went very smoothly.

i thought the rental service was easy and efficient to use. i enjoyed the home and it was perfect that we could bring small dogs. i thought the location of the house was fantastic, as a lot of snowshoeing hikes were close by for the people that weren't snowboarding. however, the roads in that neighborhood were not cleaned very well and led to quite a few stressful departures and arrivals. it wasn't easy putting on chains to leave the neighborhood, only to take them off when we arrived on the main hwy. the amenities were great, the hot tub was new and worked very well. we appreciated the ease of use with the cover on the hot tub. the kitchen was stocked very well with condiments and extra supplies! actually the entire house was stocked very well. the house is a bit older so, the design is a little awkward. the sunken living room is very cozy, but we had to set up barriers so someone wouldn't fall in by accident. the bathroom location was a bit odd as it faced out into the dining room and living room?! probably would have been more private if it was attached to the bedroom. we were unclear about the snowplow situation, so the driveway was very icy and we had to shovel snow a few times when we were there. we loved the remote location of the home in a very quiet neighborhood. we appreciated the great $ deal we got on the house as it was quite affordable. we also thought the house was stocked really well in the kitchen and bathrooms. well done!

Jeff's Chalet was amazing and so much better than we expected. We have stayed at other rental properties and have always been underwhelmed. Not the case with Tahoe Getaways. They were so easy to work with and everything was taken care of before we arrived. No worries once we got to the house...only pure bliss!

Nice home, well-appointed (all the stuff you need is there), great hot tub on the back deck, deck sun furniture, and despite no lake views, a great pine woods ambience.

This is our third stay at Jeff's--we come back every summer because it's affordable,hassle-free,and stocked with all the house-stuff we need. Plus the location amidst the pines, and fronting miles of hiking and biking trails is great.

We had the pleasure of staying at Jeff's Mountain Chalet for a weekend in September and really enjoyed it! I had been there many times before in the winter time but it's amazing how nice it is there also during the summer. And Tahoe Getaways made it very easy all around.

We stayed here for our annual family reunion and it worked out beautifully. The home has a wonderful mountain retreat feel about it and is conveniently located between Kings Beach and Tahoe City. Check in was really fast and simple. The hot tub on the deck is great and our 11 year old loved the loft over the master bedroom. The kitchen, while a bit dated, had everything we needed. The one thing that some of us weren't crazy about was carpeting in the bathrooms. As a rental property, we just weren't sure how clean the bathroom carpet could be. Overall, this was a great house and a super value for a three night stay in Tahoe!
